Just curious.....I see that the filler is some form of
an Acid Test. Are there any other tapes around that may
contain more of these early tests??? A friend of mine
would like to have them. If not, the filler will have

Let me also point out... As of 10/30/71, 90+% of the radio listeners,
possibly even many Deadheads, would not have heard *any* of the following,
which would not see commercial release until '72 (or beyond):
Sugaree, Loser, Tennessee Jed, Jack Straw, Brown Eyed Women, Saturday
Night, Mexicali, Comes A Time, Ramble On
Wish I'd been able to hear the broadcast at that time.
And Skullf*ck had only been out a couple of months -- a typical listener
might have been hearing at least 80% of the tunes for the first time.

I'm curious though...is the amount of chatter between the band
and the audience unusual? I love the part where some yahoo
gets chewed out for yelling "Truckin!!!" too much.

I think that interactions between the band and the audience were much more
common in the 60s and early 70s. Probably just a matter of the size of the
audience and the mood of the band.

Yep...Garcia seems really annoyed and snaps at the guy. Asks him if he
wants to be a cop (ultimate insult?). Then, a little later, they play
Truckin' anyway. :-) Go figure.
