       This is a farewell note to all of the Northeast DECheads I have met
    over the years. Some of them once or twice, others at various shows,
    and ones who have become dear friends.
    
       I've accepted a position in ZVO and my last day at DAS will be Dec.
    15th. I will surely miss their faces, friendships, and understandings. 
    This gives me a heavy heart. I'll be "Goin' down the road feelin' bad"
    and hearing the words to "Estimated Prophet" at the same time (The Dead
    sure came up with the right songs for the right times!!!). I got a Knot
    Alert in the mail announcing Bruce Mandaro's added gig at the White-
    horse Inn so I'll be there. I'm going to miss them as well.
    
       May God bless each and every one of you. May His grace shine upon
    you. May He comfort you in times of sadness and rejoice with you in 
    times of gladness.

    You are going to be missed; you have touched so many lives with your
    goodness, your cheer/sweetness/honesty and your sharing, giving, self.  
    Not to mention your willingness to be the designated driver!! What a guy.
    seriously, you've meant so much to me and to john over the years - what 
    will we do without Allenhead?  I think anyone who knows you has a fave
    Allenhead story.  Mine is the time you came to a surprise b'day party
    for me at Tortilla Flat in Merrimack in 1988 and brought as a gift a 
    personal possession : an 11 x 14 framed color portrait of Jerry circa
    1987.  The memory still gives my heart a tug.  
    
    We eventually negotiated a shared custody of the photo - i've had it
    for about 2 1/2 yrs .. when you get to your new place, I'll send it to
    you.

	hey allenhead - I checked out a map of California last night
	to see where Sunnyvale is - and it looks to me like its right
	close to the SFBay - which is where I'm hoping to spend some
	time next summer and maybe will be able to catch up with you
	when I'm out there...

	that should be a great place to live and you will surely
	find like-minded folks to hang out with...

	what an adventure you're in for...have fun!
