drums)
3) Best Bar Band: Lawyers Guns and Money (jes' because the Vigilantes
didn't get together this year, as their bass player is now VP of
Western Geophysical's office in London) (pretty far stretch from
Socorro, New Mexico!)
4) Best Deadsong at concert: El Paso (I LOVE that song! Thank you, Marty
Robbins) (Especially the part about
"the badlands of New Mexico")

really remember which night was best... Highgate gets
"best scene" but the music was not so grate...
best other concert... either Peter Rowan with the Rowan Brothers at
the OVK or Hornsby at the Orpheum...
best club band... Peter Rowan (sorry Slipknot... you're still my
fav local heroes but i really dug Peter... :^)

| I have 2 other Gatton records; Relentless is head and shoulders
above them. One thing that makes it great is the B-3 playing of
Joey DeFrancesco, who gets as much space to play as Danny does.
Plus Danny plays straight-up jazz with a Tele and minimal
distortion so you can really HEAR all the subtleties in his
playing.

I got to listen to _88 Elmira Street_ and _Cruisin' Deuces_ ...
Elmira Street is good, with a western twang to it. Deuces is
definitely better, imo. but the best is _Relentless_
