Wait a minute!! I believe this was the name of a video I saw on an
international PanAm flight last July. The graphics in the video were unlike
anything I have ever seen, and 40 minutes sounds about right. At the end they
gave an 800 number to call for more info, and I copied it down on my ticket
jacket. I took great pains to hold on to the ticket jacket through the rest of
the trip, only to inadvertantly throw it out when I prepared my expense
voucher [ major :7( ]. Your description of the musical score fits my
recollection as well. I seem to remember the name Miramar as the distributor,
producer, or something. If we're talking about the same video, this is a must
own for anyone with an eye for psychedelia and/or computer animation. It was
just incredible.
Was there one piece with these biped creatures made from disconnected 3-D
simple geometrical shapes riding on animated horses? If this rings a bell, it
is definitely the same one I saw.

Sounds about right. There were a number if biped creatures, including
some 'Chome Dinosaurs' (they were solid, though), and a segment with
biped creatures with unusual and differing heads along with some
dog-like quadropeds, dancing in a plaza, with birds flying around them.
The bipeds and quadropeds were made up of disconnected geometric
features. It also included some familiar looking video from a Desenex
commercial, apparently, that was a Roman or Greek statue that came to
life and started running (I recall the commercial).

Some Escher-like 3D animation with interlocking gears that folded back
into a sphere, and rotated in 'mesh', and a collection of staircases
with bipeds 'ascending' them in different gravitational planes (like
the famous Escher litho, but animated - moving).

It was pretty neat stuff. I definitely recommend breaking out the oat
    bran and seeing it! :-)

| | While going through the stuff on my desk, I FOUND the ticket jacket on which I
wrote the 800 # to order The Mind's Eye!!!!! I immediately called for info.
The price for the VHS video is $19.95 + $3.00 shipping!! I gave my MC #, and
one is on the way. Here's the info for anyone interested.
