    For RWZx's on HSJ/HSD's OSDS is not required.
    The RWZ52 users guide says OSDS is required for Alphas
    The RWZ53 users guide just doesn't say anything
    Checking the OpenVMS for VAX and Alpha SPD's for the
    below versions do not even mention the RWZx's
    
    It would help to lessen the confusion if we knew the following:
    
    For RWZ52's configured in a HSJ or HSD

This was shown under the OpenVMS Plan of Record but I have been unable to get any other conformation. 2) It is my understanding that the RWZ52 is a supported device by OpenVMS V6.1 and higher when atteached to a HSx. Review the OpenVMS and HSOF SPDs for details. OSDS is not required. WORM disks cannot be used with HSx controllers. 3) It is my understanding that the RWZ53 is a supported device by OpenVMS V6.2 and higher when atteached to a HSx.
