    Customer sent a DSNlink support call asking the question
    
    "What is your counsel concerning mounting a jukebox (RW534-ZF)
    device /share"

         Since VMS help is slightly generic with:
    $Help mount/share
    MOUNT
      /SHARE
           Specifies, for a disk volume, that the volume is shareable.
           Format
    
             /SHARE
             /NOSHARE
   --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    
          I can't find anything documented saying you can't do this but, are
    there any recommendations, yay or nay, as to whether one can MOUNT/SHARE
    an optical JB device?

    It works ok.  This has been tested during the last three or four
    versions and no problems have been seen.  Most of the "sharing"
    is managed outside of OSDS/OSMS by various parts of OpenVMS.
