| Bought the album last July or so. Saw them about 6 times this summer
mostly at the Kendall Cafe in Cambridge as part of a little NY to
BOST to WASH rotating tour while the album was breaking.
The single is not the best song on the album by no means.

| Yeah, i would say that. Droge proudly wear their influences on their
sleeves without becoming ripoffs.
You can hear Petty, Elvis Costello, Len Cohen, amongst others.
The most refreshing thing about these guys is that they have their
own sound, which is a difficult thing being a Seattle band and all.

| yeah, well they definitely don't sound like Seattle
btw, the cowbell part in "If You Don't..." gets my vote for most
valuable appearance this side of "Honky Tonk Women". Try to think
about that tune for a moment without it. imo, it's the difference
between a hit and a miss

| I guess your right. I guess Pete thought so also cause when he was on
Letterman last Thurs nite to do the single, he only brought along
Elaine to play cowbell...with Schaffers band as backup.
Didnt go over well according to a fellow Droge fan.

| I'm surprised it didint go over well maybe not enough time with Pual
and the Boy's. To me the magic is the capo-ed acoustic mixed in nice
and full and the melancholy urgency to the tune.
Gave the CD to a friend for Christmas and when listening we both agreed
he had been influenced slightly by another fav of ours, John Hiatt.
Great stuff.
