    Jim,

Are you making these weird band names up ;-?

Anybody else heard of these bands Jim is talking about, or am I
    the only ignorant one ?

Let's all get up and dance to song that was a hit before your mother
was born, though she was born a long long time ago, your mother should
    know, your mother should know.

    Lale,

    	Would _I_ lie???? C'mon, now.

real band, real album, really weird, but really good. I
cross-posted this in t RADIO_RADIO and at least 1 other person has
heard of them ( and even seen them live! ) - so I know it's not some
satanic aural hallucination :-). Someone out there must know about
    these guys . . . . . . . .

    Thanks Brian - I knew I wasn't totally lost :-)

actually they're coming around to The Middle East on May 14th, and
they're also touring with Frank Black, the ex-lead singer of the
      Pixies . . .

and while Bales of Cocaine is quite a funny song, I still like Wiggle
    Stick better :

'I got a wiggle stick, baby - and you'll like it alot'

'I got a whammy bar, mama, and it's just your size -
your knees start to squeeze and you open your eyes -
my whammy bar shakes and it satisfys!'

'I got a modulator knob when you flick that switch -
your knees start to squeeze and your lips start to switch -
my modulator knobs gonna scratch that itch!'

yeah! you gotta love it - no sexual innuendo whatsoever . . . ;-)

Well, picked up the first album ( are there only two? ) called "Smoke
'em if you got 'em". Not quite as good as the second, but still well
worth the money, imo. Same three guys, same type of music ( more
bluesy, perhaps ) and yes, that is a plaid sports jacket he's wearing
    on the front cover.

    songs :
    Bullet
    I'm Mad
    Bad Reputation
    It's a Dark Day
Big Dwarf Rodeo ( quite funny )
    Psychobilly Freakout
    Put it to me Straight
    Marijuana
    Baby, You Know Who
    Eat Steak ( this song's is a riot )
    "D" is for Dangerous
Love Whip ( see 'Wiggle Stick' in previous note )

Good news for me. I love the first album, but haven't picked up number
two yet. I'll probably get it tomorrow.

Check out the Reverend's cut on the Sub-Pop love-song compilation.

| | Reverend Horton Heat's home-base is Dallas Texas, and Yes, I have see
the glorious sounds of this terrific band. I actually live in Austin,
but Rev. Heat is a regular to this town.

His music has a bawdy kinda feel that makes you want to dress down in
leather and rub axle grease into your hair. This type of cow-punk music
is really hot in Texas these days -- also witness "Two Hoots and a
    Holler."

    Good stuff.

Name of this band reminds me of "Al Sharpton's Hair" a name I think
a reunion of the Dead Kennedys was supposed to happen under.

These guys do "Johnny Quest" on the "Saturday Morning Cartoons'
Greatest Hits" album that just came out.

And they sound quite good, I must say.

How many albums do they have out now? Still just 2?
