but none from their 'best' first album "cheap trick"..though a track or
two were included on another greatest hits package out at the moment.

I just heard this morning that Robin has been working in the
studio with Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood, and an album is due
out this spring. Should be good!

well blow me down if i haven't just answered my own question about
the lack of earlier material on the greatest hits package.....it
seems that the track listing mentioned earlier is only 1/2 of the
deal....there is a second companion greatest hits cd with tracks
from the first few albums...i saw the combined set as an import
deal on epic/sony, with a code of something like ecsa 9540, but i
    could be wrong..

| | Cheap Trick RULES!! Anything from the amazing first album until
Dream Police is AWESOME!! They really started to drivel
    afterwards...too bad...

| | I agree with Buck - great band but going down hill.

Although I did really like "The Flame".

    "Don't Be Cruel" WAS Cruel.

| | I am able to say with pride that I saw Cheap Trick's FIRST gig
anywhere, at the Night Gallery in Waukegan, Ill., as well as
several more times before they went national. I remember Rick
Neilsen stepping up to the microphone and announcing,"That was
our newest single, available on Cunnilingus records."

I also remember that, unlike all the "star" bands at the time, Cheap
Trick played non-stop, with no gala chatter between songs. They were
    HOT live!
