| 31.1 | Need a swing/ballroom band | MCIS5::BEUCHEL |  | Thu Feb 20 1992 13:55 | 13 |
| | I am looking for a swing band to play at my October 24th wedding
    reception at the Lennox Hotel in Boston.

    To accomodate the hall, and the size of the guest list, I believe that
    the band should not exceed 8 pieces.

    If you, or somebody you know, might be interested, please send mail
    MCIS5::BEUCHEL.

    Thanks!

    Amy

| 31.3 | need father/daughter song | AIMHI::COREY |  | Thu Apr 16 1992 12:45 | 13 |
|  |     Hi,

    My daughter is getting married May 16th and has most all of the music
    picked out except the father/daughter dance. She does not want a
    song that is played at every other wedding. She'd like something
    from the 50's and would love to jitterbug with her father.

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks,

    MJ

| 31.4 | Late 60s/early 70s dance music? | OSLACT::HENRIKW | Big Mac is watching | Fri Jun 05 1992 09:13 | 12 |
| | I know lots of you will say "not another list topic!!",
    but here goes:

    A friend of mine is planning a big 100th anniversary party (40 years
    each and 20 years of marriage) for him and his wife. So he
    mentioned how nice it'd be to play lots of late 60s/early 70s
    dance music.

    I've got a big collection of LPs from the period - but need some
    advice/reminders from the expertise on what the most _dancable_ hits were.

    Any help? Please?

    	The Strawberries in Action (rt119) has/had? a manager who is very
    knowledgable on all those artists plus they have a large bible of
    everything recorded from 1940 or so on.

    	We did my parent's 50th last year, although the book did not list
    the particular cut my father said was their song. Turned out that
    after calling all over New England looking for this record on Decca
    which everyone insisted did never exist, my sister in law found it in
    some old 78's. I don't remember the title(wait - devil may care), but it
    was Bing Crosby, and after telling my father that he must have imagined
    this all, it was a big suprise indeed. (I could find a Sinatra version
    but Dad gags on Frank)

    	good luck, and check your basements. Many of the numbers you've
    listed can be found on CD.

    to at a wedding. The traditional bride/father song is "Daddy's little
    girl"... Anyone out there know of this song or it's title. If you do
    , mail the info to ROYALT::FITCH...

                                                          thx, john

I know I'm replying to a fairly elderly note, but I was wondering if this list
was ever compiled - ie dance-able music, preferably from late 50's to '70s.
(planning to fill a jukebox for a 40th birthday party)
Thanks & regards,
Chele
