Hi, folks!
Alec's Shoe Store, on Main Street in downtown Nashua, is sponsoring its 4th
Annual Run for Food and Shelter to benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter.
It's a 5K Run and Walk on Sunday, April 6th, at 1:00 pm. (Daylight Savings
Time).
Awards will be given to the top 3 overall finshers, male and female, as
well as the top finisher in each age ten year age group, starting with 19 and
under and ranging through 70 & over. T-shirts will be given to
the first 300 entries.
It's a pledge race. If you get $100.00 in pledges, you receive a $10.00 gift
certificate to a local restaurant. If you raise $250.00, you get a $25.00
gift certificate to Alec's Shoes. If you raise $500.00 in pledges, you'll get
a weekend at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. (You must submit your pledges by race day
to be eligible for prizes.)
The entry fee is $15.00, $18.00 after March 28, 1997. $10.00 for age 12 & under.
Post-Registration & Number Pick-Up on Race Day from 10:30-noon
at the Nashua YMCA.
