After my customer upgrading an Alphastatiuon 255 from OVMS 6.2 to V7.1 ,
    	and Alphasserver 4100 7.1
	these errors messages appears :
        System> @sys$startup:dfs$startup.com
      % DECdfs starting up...
%DCL-I-SUPERSEDE, previous value of DFS$MAX_ATTRIBUTE has been superseded
? DFS startup failure. VMS version mismatch.
% DFS was installed for OpenVMS Alpha V7.1 and does not support unknown
% Please reinstall DFS to correct this problem.
So, I attempted to re-install DFS, only to reproduce the same error
when the installation attempts to startup DFS
How can I get DECdfs running on my OVMS 7.1 ?
I would like to know if I can provide the FT DECdfs kit 2.2-3
for my customer , and if there is any support for this FT version
(until customer install the SSB version) ?.
Another way should be to provide the 2.2-2 by the ECO kit DECDFS02_022
	and modify F$LOCATE for the sys_ver into dfs$startup.com .

Does we support this Workaround ?
Do I need to create an IPMT ?

Thanks in advance for your quick help

    Thanks for the pointer!

We are attempting to place DECDFS into a production cluster
environment on serveral V7.1 OpenVMS "servers" which will allow two
(non-cluster members) OpenVMS V6.1 "clients" to access drives.

Since this kit for V7.1 is relatively new, I am a little bit nervous
about commiting to this product. Does anyone have any customers
successfuly utilizing this product on V7.1?

    Thanks again,

    Bob
