| 805.1 | we run humidifiers all the time in winter | STAR::GEBURA |  | Mon Apr 01 1991 11:00 | 11 |
| | We have warm mist humidifiers (Bonnaire) which we run 100%
    of the time throughout the entire house ever since Morgen
    came home from the hospital. She's now 4 months old. The
    wallpaper in our bedroom has been damaged by it and there's
    some mold on the window woodwork. Nothing else has been
    affected. We've noticed that we are a lot more comfortable
    with our breathing and assume it's having a similar effect
    on her. She's been very healthy all winter except for one
    cold at 6 weeks.

| 805.2 | Keep it at 40-50% | CIMNET::TOBIN_D |  | Mon Apr 01 1991 11:49 | 4 |
| | If you are subject to allergies (especially the molds), allergists
    recommend that you keep the humidity no higher than 40 - 50%. More
    than this encourages mold and mildew growth. You can buy a humidity
    gauge at any hardware store for a few dollars.

| 805.3 | no problems here | JUPITR::MAHONEY |  | Mon Apr 01 1991 12:30 | 10 |
| | We use a cool mist humidifier every night in our daughters room because
    the heat in our house is very dry. We run it at approx. medium. There
    have been no problems with it as far a mildew or anything we try to
    keep the nozzle directed to the center of the room. As far as using too
    much, I believe you can use it as much as you want, our daughter is 7
    months and we used it off and on since birth.

| | If there's moisture on the inside of the windows, it's too much.
