I couldn't find an obvious place elsewhere in this file to put this request. I saw note 2.* for childcare requests, but this doesn't really fit in to that category since its temporary, and I need any reply soon...) Maybe this can get renamed to a discussion of the merrits of drop-in service? 8-) Next week we'll need some temporary childcare for our 15 mo son, since his in-home daycare woman has a family emergency and will be out of town. Her only backup is a center which will apparently take him for an extravigent price, including a registration fee to add him to their insurance. His grandmother is willing to take him a lot of the time, but we want to spare her from the entire week/every day. Can someone recommend a temporary or drop-in place that would take him for hours/half day/day (not the entire week) in Nashua NH area? Thanks, Charlie

Try Kids Inn on 101A or in Merrimack, I think they will take
children on a parttime basis but I am not positive....

Hi,
I live in Dallas Texas and I travel on business. I usually take my
daughter (she'll be two on June 7th) with me. I've been lucky to have
friends or relatives who could watch her during the day when I have to
go to the Boston area. I'll be traveling to Sunnyvale (ZVO) June
4-8th, staying in a hotel in Santa Clara. I'm looking for any drop-in
temporary day centers or baby sitters in a 45 minutes drive radius from
Sunnyvale. Any help will be appreciated.
I've contacted the Digital child care referral service and I'm waiting
to hear from them.

We used Kids Inn when we had to go up to NH for a funeral this past summer. My wife's sister uses them for her twins on a fairly regular basis, so I'm not sure if that made it easier for our kids to be let in, but they didn't require a registration fee or anything like that. Dave | |||||
