I recently returned to work after the birth of our third child. I had
been working 30 hours a week prior to Simon's birth, but decided that
20 hours would be a better schedule for our family this time around.

I requested to share a job with another engineer who was also returning
after maternity leave. Because our job codes are different. the
sharing of an actual job turned out not to be the best fit, but our
management agreed to each of us working on that same project for 20
hours each. We overlap one day a week, which is when the project
meetings are, and talk by phone or mail if the task so necessitates.

There are no written policies on part time work, or job sharing for
that matter. It is, as far as I can tell, up to the disgression of the
individual manager. Our requests were worked with three levels of
    management and personnel.

I would be happy to talk further if you wish.

| | There will be an admin secretary job share position available the
first of January in Merrimack, NH (MKO1).

I will be going on maternity leave with my second child this
Thursday, October 8. When I return to work in January, my job
will become a job share. I will be working Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday mornings (20 hours per week).

The other half of this job is classified as an R12 which has
minimal benefits. However, the right candidate can expect to
work a minimum of 20 hours a week (Wednesday afternoon, Thursday,
    and Friday).

This is an ideal position for someone who wants a 20 hour work
week and does not require benefits.

The position is in the Digital Leasing group, supporting five
marketing professionals. I've worked for this group for 3+
    years. It's a great group.

My maternity leave starts October 8, so if you would like more
information on this position, please send mail off-line to my
manager - Mike Kelley @MKO or TIGEMS::KELLEY. Either he or I
will be in touch with you to talk about the details of this
    opportunity.
