o Announcing Summer Theatre for Kids - An information meeting
will be held on June 15, 7:30pm in the Merrimack Children's

ballfield, and several hiking/biking trails. One entrance to
this fairly extensive city park is at the end of Coliseum
Avenue, which runs along the Nashua Mall past Montgomery
Ward's.
- Beaverbrook 117 Ridge Road, Hollis. Miles of easy, flat, well-
marked trails.
- Mine Falls Park, Nashua, NH. Newly named as part of the
offi- cial NH Heritage Trail once considered unsafe for
women and chil- dren alone, is improving a few miles of
easy, flat trails along the river, through the woods.
- Pack Monadnock Mountain. Miller State Park, Temple, NH
(park- ing lot almost across the highway from Temple Mtn.
Ski Area) miles of easy to moderate trails up and down road
to the top $2.00 fee per person at the top if you are
staying, free if just passing through.
- Monadnock Mountain. Jaffrey, NH. Drive in to Jaffrey,
follow the signs. $2.50 per person at entry, free under 12.
Many miles of easy, moderate, and difficult trails. Vista of
the entire val- ley from the top. Mountain is popular and
can be "crowded."

o Conway Scenic Railroad - Route 16, North Conway, NH. 11-mile
roundtrip journey through Mt. Washington Valley. Train schedule
Daily 10, 12, 2 and 4 and beginning July 1st there will be a
"Sunset Special" at 6:30pm Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sat. Rain or
shine. Museum and outdoor displays too. On Fathers Day, Dads
ride free. July 4th fireworks. Aug 5th- Up with People. Adults

o Mt. Sunapee, NH - From I-89N, take exit 9 and follow Rte 103W

coast Science Center at Odiorne Point State Park, located in Rye,
NH has opened its season of environmental and educational programs
and activities. Open 7 days a week - offers exhibits showing the
habitats and cultural history of the park - including spectacular
seatanks and a tidepool touch-tank, as well as a host of programs
including workshops, day camps, school and teacher training pro-

o Puppet Show Merr Library July 24th and August 20th.
o Amoskeag Fishways - Look through the window on the river and see
fish swim up the ladder. You'll see one of nature's great wonders
up close - the annual migration of hundreds of fish such as salmon
and shad as they fight their way back to the streams of their birth.
Season: April 28-June 21, 1992. Weekdays, noon to 6pm. Saturday and

o The Granite State Duck Race - July 26 on the Nashua River. Ducks
can be adopted for $5 donation to benefit the Boys Clubs. Parade
starts down Main Street, Nashua at 12:30pm. 1:00pm activities be-
gin behind Nashua Corp off of Franklin Street, just west of the Main
Street Bridge. 2:30 Race begins. Ducks will be launched into the
Nashua River behind the Clocktower Complex off Water Street in Nashua.

o High Hopes Hot Air Balloon Festival in Milford on June 19-21. En-
tertainment, hay rides, fire engine rides, helicopter rides, bungee
jumps, crafts and food. Hot air balloon rides are scheduled daily
during the festival at 6 am and 6 pm. Come see me take off in a bal-
loon on Friday, June 19th at 6pm (Christmas/birthday present from
my husband! - Gale)
o Thursday June 18th - The Berenstain Bears at Books, Nooks and Kran-
nies. Refreshments and bedtime stories for the kids. 6:00pm and 7:00

o Shows at Andy's Summer Playhouse: - Andy's Summer Playhouse is in
