There was a small article in Thursday's Globe about NENA members
defying a cease and desist order issued by the town of Charlestown
RI. Apparently, NENA has been operating a clothing optional beach
at the end of Charlestown Beach Road.
I guess I missed out here. Does anyone have more details?
NENA is hoping to take the issue to the Supreme Judicial Court (I
think that's what it said).

| The beach is the one I mentioned in note 25.221. It was originally
okay to be nude on the beach (behind a huge windscreen) and in the
water, but going in or out of the water you had to cover up or wear a
thong or bottom. Then, some neighbors protested, and some sort of
injunction was put on any nude use. I heard this week the injunction
was lifted.
The situation seems to change almost daily. A call to NENA to check
the status is necessary before considering a trip down there.
Has ANYONE been to this new beach??
