Another place to get good catalogs is:

     	Mira Mare Reisen
     	Sendlinger Strasse 45
     	D-8000 Muenchen 2
     	Fed. Rep. of Germany
        Tel. ++49 - 89 - 260-7570

I have used both them and Oboena, and find Mira Mare a bit
less rah-rah commercial and a little better in price. Of
course, using the International Naturist's Guide and making
your own reservations is usually even better.
Some of the sites I have visited during my 11 years over on
this side of the pond are:

Tropica in Corsica (1979): woodsy and with a very long
nice beach (but them I am partial to Corsica)

Monsena in Rovinj/Yugoslavia (1981): nice place with the usual
Yugoslavian rocky coast. Don't get half or full board,
unless you like getting dressed and undressed all the time
(one dresses for meals and they are indoors, we switched
to do-it-yourself after the first day)

Euronat in Grayan/French Atlantic coast (1984,85): huge place,
but quite crowded and commercial. Lazy Germans in Mercedes
drive the 1/2 mile to the beach from their well-kept cottages
rather than walking. I still like it however and would
     	go again.

Arnaoutchot (call it Arna) also on the French Atlantic
coast (1988): much less commercial and with a good mixed
     	international clientele

Corsicana in Corsica (1987): This place is adjacent to
Tropica (above) and you can go back and forth between them.
Corsica was much more crowded than 8 years previously and
we were amused by folks going fully-clothed to the beach
(otherwise you wouldn't know how well-off they were) before
undressing, even though it was during the warmest part
     	of the summer.

| | Here's the promised report on Marina Lucica / Yugoslavia
         --------------------------------------------------------

After a 40 minute drive from Split airport, I arrived in the
ALL NATURIST Hotel Marina Lucica. Friends expected me in the
restaurant, a front row seat was reserved, it was 8:05 p.m. A
breathtaking view with the dark red sun setting over the
panorama of Primosten, the fishervillage some 20 minutes walk
away. The full moon coming into the picture from the left.

Was this real? Yes, and from now on every evening. You never
get tired to look at the panorama of Primosten, also in the
morning when it's basked in the morning sun. The churchtower
dominating on top of the hill with the buildings of the fisher-
village flocked like chickens around a hen. This is the village,
where you do shopping, wining and dining etc. (wearing clothes).

The Hotel has 6 floors. 5 and 6 is clothes only with the
reception and the dining hall, money exchange, duty-free
store, candy store, travel agency and bar. 1 - 4 are the
rooms, mostly doubles, some singles. Convenient with bath or
showers, spacious and quiet. the furniture is primitive for
US standards though. From the room you go directly to the
beach in the nude, wearing a towel, pocketbook and sun
         lotion.

There is no crowd at the beach, despite the fully booked
Hotel (Capacity 600). Somewhat inconvenient to get into the
water due to the rocks. Shoes are a must. Water is clean and
         warm (24 C).

About 20% of all Yugoslavian tourist are reported to perform
nudism. In Marina Lucica I observed the people-mix to be
about 50/50 male/female. Mostly families, relatively few
singles. You see handicapped, retarded, "good eaters", in
short, you find them all, and all are welcome, all are
accepted, and we all have fun!

One makes contacts much easier among nudists than elsewhere.

Left and right as far as the eye can see - peace-loving
people, all in the naturist "uniform", a cross section of the
human society, however, everyone left his "status" back where
he put his clothes. Here the world is in order, paradise is
only the first name. Marina Lucica I love you!

One US-Dollar converts approx. to 23'000 Dinar, rate of
exchange new every morning. All you buy is about 2.5 - 3
times cheaper than at home. Changing my first 100.-
Swiss-franc bill made me millionaire: 1'150'000.- Dinar!
When I exchanged the last one, I got already 1'450'000!

Entertainment: There is a dance band playing nightly until
11:30 p.m. At the village there are other bands and discos.
Night cruises with a disco boat including dinner and wine,
day cruises to the Kornati islands, Krka falls etc. Once
every other Friday there is a gala evening, at irregular
         intervals folclore evenings or Miss-contests.

I made the night cruise with my dance partner and won a game
(a Coca Cola drinking contest). The price was a Kornati cruise
         for 2.

Sport: Volleyball, Tennis, Bowling, Hiking, Jogging, Boating,
         Waterski and many more.

Food: excellent, plenty, fast, inexpensive. They started an
experiment with self-service. It speeds up the process, but
         some people behave like animals.

Once I walked over to the textile beach at another hotel. I
noticed 2 (two!) topless girls - they were stared at! At the
nudist beach with few exceptions nobody stares at anybody.
Yes you do see cameras and I suppose they are not only used
for landscape pictures. Nobody seems to mind.

Sin and Morale: Like in every crowd. It has been mentioned
many times in this notesfile that this has nothing to do with
nudism. Overall I think you find much nicer people in such a
place, but maybe I am biased. If you look for a "Lady of ill
repute" you will find one, if not, you won't see any.

Inefficiencies: 1 (one) semi-public phone for the whole
Hotel. Dripping faucets. Bring-your-own-soap (and some as a
gift for the maid). Few towels (a tip sometimes helps). No
shower curtains. But let's face it, if you camp, you have
         much less.

This completes my report. Should you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to ask.

         Regards
         Ted
