For the initial versions (XPS 8.10 and 8.11) we are not using
TruCluster Production Server capabilities above the level of memory
channel driver. BUT, future versions (8.20 and beyond) will have
features such as HA (High Availability) which will be much easier to
implement using TruCluster CNX services. We *could* have chosen to
reinvent the services without using TruCluster, but for several reasons
including time to market, shortage of engineers, and others, we have to
go atop TruCluster instead. XPS doesn't require it, it truly is a
shared-nothing architecture- but in our case it's an implementation
decision to use existing services rather than reinvent them.
