I also have a Persian purebred that will not do
his poops in the litter box and hasn't for the last
4 years..
The first year we had Punkin he did fine. We then
brought home Bugsy a himmy..We figured he was getting
at us for bringing another cat home.
We have tried another litter box, different litter
even shreaded paper instead of litter in the box.But
Punkin will go on newspaper laid out on the floor near
the litter box..He will also urinate in the litter box.
He just plain acts like a dog..
Punkin even loves to go to the Grooming Salon and have
his bath and does not mind the dryers these use either.
Where Bugsy has to take a sedative before going to get
his bath or they won't work on him..
Any suggestions on an alternative would be appreciated

there are some cats that like two boxes; one to urinate in, and
one to defacate in.
