Which paper? I'll be picking up the Newbury Weekly News, and the
	Reading Chronicle tonight.
Also, the cats protection league has a 40-cat foster home just
along the road from me, which I often take a pack of tinned food to.
If you have any more info, could you post it please?
	Thanks,
	Heather

| | It was either the Midweek Chronicle or the Reading Evening Post, as I
had both delivered yesterday. I'll post anything else I can find out
    about it.

| | There was another article in last week's Reading Chronicle which made
    things a little clearer.
The National Cat Week is being used by the Cats Protection League to
publicise the plight of homeless cats and, hopefully, find good homes
for as many as possible. So far they are organising a car-boot sale and
have a stall at a fete, one of these events is at Burghfield and I must
refer back to the paper for the dates (sorry, rather disorganised this
week!). They were asking for anyone with ideas or who could help them
man the phones to give them a call.

Martin Black said that the Cambridge branch are organising a fayre, the
entry fee is either 20p or a tin of Whiskas cat food.

I hope it becomes an annual event.

| | The fete mentioned is the Earley Carnival, which takes place on
Saturday. I'll try to go along, but it's our Church's harvest festival
on Sunday and I have to do all the flower arrangements on the Saturday,
so I may not get chance.
The Boot sale is at Burghfield Bridge on Sunday. It doesn't have a
start time, but I'm sure both events will be on this week's community
    events page.
