| 136.2 | a truly awful combination--a cat/man | DELNI::GASKELL |  | Wed Jan 15 1992 12:24 | 5 |
| | The character of CAT get's even 0better--the actor (John Jules I think) does
    a really good job at being a cat.

    "These are My shiny things. You can't have my shiny things."
    (See the next program for the rest.)

| | This is on channel 54 in San Jose on Sunday nights as well. How
    long does it take for the cat character to show up? I "bored
    out" on the first episode.

| | Cat showed up in the first episode. Since this show only has 3
    "regulars", he is in just about every one.

    My favorite scene is in the episode when they land on a planet where
    everything is backwards, and Cat has to "go in the bushes"...the look
    on his face!!!!!

| | I like the episode where they find the alternate universe and cat
    enters the other ship and starts squirting little aerosol spraycans
    saying "This is mine, this is mine, this is mine"...

    Considering the problems I'd been having with Dundee, I almost fell off
    the couch when I saw that.

| | Is there any chance someone is taping these episodes? I had a
    rehearsal last night and completely forgot about setting the vcr.

| | The book RED DWARF goes into the cats character much more than they can
    show on t.v. One of the things he does is to tease his food (usually
    a cooked fish) by singing a song something along the lines of "you're
    my little fishy an' I'm gonna eat you". He then puts his fork under the
    fish and bangs the handle making the fish catapult up into the air, CAT
    then does a back-flip somersault over the back of his chair catching
    the fish before it hits the deck and then eats it.

    Read the book, it's a riot.

| 136.8 | is he like anyone you know? | DELNI::GASKELL |  | Mon Feb 03 1992 07:22 | 5 |
| | Who publishes the book and what's the name of the writer? I didn't
    know it was a book as well. From the last program the songs goes,
    "I'm going to eat you little fishey, I'm going to eat you little
    fishey." with a look of anticipation and glee on his face--lovely, just
    like my bunch of rotters.

| 136.9 | And there's more..... | UKCSSE::LMCDONALD |  | Fri Feb 28 1992 03:52 | 10 |
| | The fifth series of "Red Dwarf" began here in the UK last week. It
    looks pretty good so far.

    One of my favourites among the regulars (they are all good) is Crighton.
    You folks in the US may not know him yet. He is an android that was
    rescued from another space ship. Lister teachs him to lie and do other
    'human' things he is not programmed for.

| | Oh, yes...we've met Crighton. He's the wimpy android.

    In the episode where they all turn opposite of themselves, he was like
    "KILL KILL KILL!" What a riot.

    I, tho, am partial to Cat. :^)
