| | Is Scott being interviewed by Michael Crasney? Who's program will he
be on. I am an avid KGO listener. Got to hear Joan Wastlhuber
interviewed by Senator Quentin Kopp the other night. The topic...The
San Mateo County breeding ban. Joan held her own, but the interviewer
and the callers were mostly biased against her.

| | Did anybody listen? There were a few interesting calls. One product
that he mentioned (presently available only through vet. office) is
called Cat Scan - a powder that can be sprinkled on the litter to
determine the ph and protein levels. Said it should be
    available in pet stores soon..

The reason that Crasney was so tough on Joan during her interview
was quite obvious to me after listening to last nights broadcast
with Scott. Crasney does not like cats. I found him offensive
in most cases. After responses from Scott to callers questions
about cats Crasney consistently made remakes that I felt were
inappropriate. He made light of several situations (mourning, cats
with no teeth), made a joke about at home-altering (by Scott's tone
of voice in his repsonse, at first I think he thought Crasney was
    serious.)

Crasney is definately to the extreme right and made a comment
about receiving an award from the PHS. He also tried to drag Scott
into it by saying that he was pleased to see a letter that was
published supporting the activities of PETA signed by "a" Scott Anderson.
Scott indicated that he was not the author of the letter and one
could have missed the denouncement because of Crasney's constant
monopoly of the conversation. His constant babbling (he obviously
thinks he is an expert) caused confusion at times with Scott's
understanding of the caller's question. I am looking forward to
    discussing the broadcast with Scott.

    Meanwhile--Who IS this Michael Crasney?

.3 At the Tails & No Tales show we raffled off a container of Fussy
Cat litter. It sounds like it basically does the same thing as
the Cat Scan. The litter changes color indicating if there is a
        problem.

| 132.6 | Didn't get to hear it | MUTTON::BROWN |  | Thu Jan 09 1992 10:44 | 12 |
| | Actually, Joan was interviewed by Senator Quentin Kopp on his Sunday
night program. When I had talked to Joan on Saturday night (when we
were looking for possible replacement judges) she mentioned that she
would be interviewed on Sunday night and was going to spend the day
preparing. She knew that the interview would be biased.

I didn't get to hear the program. I ended up on the phone most of the
night answering calls from folks that picked up my card at the show and
were calling for kittens. I can't believe the number of cards I went
through at T&NT, or the number of calls I have gotten since!

| | Marlene:

I got the same impressions. The "the do it at home" altering comment
drew a more than the normal "pause" in Scott's voice and Cransey's run
of the mouth started to get to me. His comment about seeing "Scott's"
name on a letter to PETA/from PETA - I almost fell off the bed - and he
kept referring to Scott as an Animal Activist. (just remembered that I
saw the name of "a" Scott Anderson on some literature regarding the
inhumane treatment of livestock - the veal situation I think it was)
    but it wasn't our Scott.

We'll be in to see Scott at the end of the for Stitch's check up and
I'm looking forward to discussing as well.

I can't remember who Scott used to do the show with before this Crasney
person - it used to be on Sunday mornings - I'll have to ask.

| | Leigh Rodgers has the 9:00 am to noon program during the week and he
often has a vet come on the show. But, it is the same vet each time
(I don't care for this vet). Leigh seems to be an animal lover.
