|  |     Sure!  (:  It's hard during feeding time with 20+ adults
    trying to eat at once!

    Lynne (BTW, NDC & I haven't forgotten about trying out the
           Aussie saddle! As soon as it's light enough....(: )

| | Lynne,,,our shelter uses a bunch of cafateria trays to feed
    the furfaces on!! You can get about 7-8 cats around one tray!
    And for those furfaces that won't eat with other furfaces...they
    get fed on paper plates!

| | A letter of thanks for all the coupons....

    Dear Lynne and all your friends;

    Thank you for all the coupons you have been sending.
    They sure have come in handy with all the ferals and
    strays we have taken in. Enclosed is a picture of
    "Reeses" (black tortoiseshell female), one of the current
    residents here. She is one of the many your support
    has helped this winter.

    Please come and visit us soon-

    Thanks again-

    Lynn

    Thank you again to those of you who faithfully send me
    coupons for the shelter(s). I certainly can say they
    can use more, (both cat & dog!) so if you can spare
    some, please contact me offline and I will send you my
    home address.

| 18.7 | Shelter under new management!  CHAMPS | BUSY::MANDILE | Nope, not this time! | Thu Aug 27 1992 06:24 | 18 |
| | The Wareham mini Cat Shelter has diversified and become a group
    of several separate shelters; The one I support is now known as:

                CHAMPS
             Mini Shelter

          508-291-0072    Lynn

    I was there this past weekend, and the number of improvements that
    Lynn has been able to do now that she runs "her" shelter is terrific
    to see. She was feeding a litter of 6 abandoned kittens (: when I
    stopped in.

    She is amazed at the amount of coupons I keep sending her, and again,
    thank you all for the steady shipments! (;

| 18.9 |  | BUSY::MANDILE | In god we trust. All others pay cash! | Fri Oct 23 1992 09:31 | 25 |
| | I went to the alumni gathering last night, and met up with
    a few of the "success" stories from the shelter.

    Joy, a female black & white DSH, had been found raising kittens
    with a severely damaged mouth. Best guess is she was hit by
    a car. She has been adopted, and her injuries have healed.
    Can't say they healed nicely, as it looks pretty bad, but she
    eats and purrs, so things are good.

    Maxcine, a female calico was also a car accident kitty. It
    severed her tail, and broke both her hind legs and fractured
    her spine. She looks wonderful now, and they had a picture
    of her posted with the casts on. What a difference.....

    Mau, also a female, black & white Dsh. Her mother had distemper
    while being pregnant, and some of the litter was born with
    what seems to be some type of nervous system disorder. Interesting
    that the vet said she wouldn't make it to be a year old, and she's
    now 1.5 yrs....

    And, the person who I recommended DID adopt 2 of the feral rescues
    for barncats! The wife came to the store last night to talk about
    food for them!!!  Yippee!!!!!

| 18.10 |  | DELNI::MANDILE | Toepick! | Mon Jan 18 1993 11:27 | 13 |
| | Well, so far, so good. The couple I refered to the shelter
    I volunteer for still have the 2 ferals they adopted. Both
    were female, and after the 3 week stay inside the barn, one did
    disappear for a while.....she had access to the barn, and it turned
    out that she was coming home late at night to eat. (8

    If all goes well, I will be taking some friends over this Sat who
    are looking for a kitten. I had to step on hubby's toes to keep him
    from telling a customer with kittens that he had someone interested...
    I told him that they had a current home, while the kittens in the
    shelter didn't, and that I didn't want to encourage those that didn't
    practice owner responisibility and spay/neuter their cats. I think
    I've got him trained now! (8
