| 43.1 | Baby Craig's on the way! | SWAM2::DERY_CH |  | Fri Aug 16 1991 10:22 | 17 |
| |
    Hi there,

I'm due to have my first baby on September 24th. Only 2 more weeks
til I'm out for four months! :^) As most AMC noters already know,
this baby is Adam Chandlers love child...but don't tell my husband
this! ;^} I've received several calls from Tom Cudahy asking if he can
stop by and rub my belly....guess he's run out of babies in Pine
Valley that he can claim paternity to!

I'm getting really excited for the big day to get here although I'll
miss the great updates in here!

C'mon fellow preggos, dads-to-be, grandmas, etc....let's hear from you
    all!

| | I don't get to watch GH that often, only on vacations. But last
summer when I was on maternity leave, Chris and I watched every
day!! Chris will be a year old on September 7th! It goes by fast
    and it's fun!!!

I love this notesfile, and the great updates. Keep up the good work.

    Sheila

PS Cherie, Good luck and have fun with the little one when he/she
    arrives!!!

| | I tape GH everyday, but sometimes I don't get to watch all of it
because I have the interruption of my son Stephen. He will be a year
old on Sept. 5th, and is a real charmer. .2 is right, it sure does go
    fast.

Now that Tony Dreary doesn't make those horrid painful faces anymore,
Stephen hasn't been scared in while watching GH with me. He does
sometimes hit the FF button though when old Dreary is on. Hey, the kid
knows whats good and whats not!

He has been known to also kiss the TV when Finola is on. I guess that
is the male hormones kickin' in.

| | Boy, sure are a lot of September babies around. My son will be 3yrs
old on September 3rd and I will be a year old on the 6th of September.
Guess I'll be having a lot of mother/son birthday parties. Except
this year. The honey is taking me to Glenwood Springs, CO (hot
     springs) this year.

DC - How about doing my chart. Would sure make interesting reading
         for my honey.

To all the mothers, mothers-to-be and daddies, once you have a baby the
years go by alot faster so enjoy.

May all your baby making days (even the practice days) bring you fond
    and lasting memories.

| | Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....my baby boy is 27 years old and just got married,
    I'm hoping for a Grandson in a year or 2. I have 2 beautiful
Grandaughters and if you recent Mothers think time is going by quickly
now...just wait awhile and you'll be trying to figure out where all
that time has gone. That old song "turn around and you're one, turn
around and you're two, turn around and you're a young man walking out of
the door" is truer than you can believe.

BTW: My grandaughters are 9 and 2, they are half sisters and look
    great together, Gina, the 9 years old has dark hair and hazel eyes;
Nikki (2 yrs) is blond and blue eyed. Gina's coloring is a combination
of her Grampy Cudak and her mother's, while Nikki has her Mom's blond
hair, the blue eyes are from both sides of the family.

Oh, almost forgot, contrary to the opinion of a certain un-named male
    noter......I AM NOT PREGNANT!!! :-)

| | Well, I'm Auntie Cheryl 4 times now. All nephews!!! My Dad really
doesn't have to worry about the Acquafresca bloodline going extinct!!!
Plus, my father has 3 brothers who all have grandson's also. This
    family is really growing!!!

Stevie just turned four on August 9, Nik will be two on Sept 18, Joey
was born on May 26, and Jamie was just born last week, on August 8. I
had to laugh when we found out Jamie was another boy. My sister and I
(the unmarried ones in the family, my three brothers are married) were
looking forward hitting Raschels for little girl's clothing. You know,
leggings with long tops, etc. But it's OK!!! He is just beautiful!!!
They all are!! Not too proud, eh!!

Congrats to all the new Mom-to-be's. My four-year-old nephew asked me
when I was going to have a baby. I told him when I got married. He
asked why did I have to be married to have a baby. I was really
stumped on that one, but how do you explain to a 4 year old that you
don't have to be!!! I told him to talk to Mom!!! I won't get out of
it that easily when I'm a Mom though!!

    Have a good weekend.

Yesterday he was caught climbing the plum tree and the peach tree and
picking off the fruit and eating it!

Kind of unusual for his "species"! %^)

As you can see from my personal name, I have two "kids"!! ;*)

Callie is 7 months old, and Tabitha is a year & a half!! They're both
the most beautiful, well behaved "kids" in the whole wide world!! ;*)

I also have two nieces & a nephew. (real ones!) Cassandra is the newest
addition to my already HUGE family. She's 6 weeks old & is adorable!
Her mommie (my sister) can make her smile ***SO*** big!! I love it!

Christopher is Cassandra's Brother, and he's 17 months. A little
handfull, I must say! Blond hair, blue eyes, a total joy!!

Jessica is my oldest niece, she's three & is as smart as a whip!! It's
the good thing she takes after her dad, he mom is my older sister, so
    that's why I can say that!!! :*)

    Have a good weekend!

| | I am due to have our first baby on 29 November, and I just can't wait
for that day!!! Thanksgiving ought to be great fun. My husbands'
birthday is 10 December, and I keep promising him a birthday present.

I will be home for four months also and that will be kind of neat since
it covers all of the holiday season. I hate having to come back at
all, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I will miss the updates too. I think I will periodically log on from
home and "visit" with the rest of the gang in the file once in a while.
Like I said, sometimes the show can be a little lacking in the
entertainment department and all of the comments and this file just
    fill in all the holes.

Good Luck to all the mothers-to-be, current mom's and dad's and mostly
to the wanna-be parents. This has been one of the most happiest
experiences in my life and I wish the best for all those that dream of
    it too.

    Best to all,

    Susan

| | Best of luck to all new moms-to-be! It is a great experience! And the
labor really isn't all that bad either no matter what people are
telling you now! I went through almost 20 hrs of hard labor and it
really wasn't that bad...but my husband was there and he was a great
    supporter.

I'm due Nov 18th with my 2nd. My daughter, Brittani, is 4 yrs old and
just can't wait for her little sister to come and play Barbie's with
her. On the other hand, my husband is insisting it is a boy this time.
They actually have a little wager going (my daughter's allowance
$1.00/wk). Brittani has been the best thing that has ever happened to
us -- she has this amazing ability to give us patience and sensitivity
in our lives. She's a very sensitive child and always wants to take
care of my husband and I or likes to make sure that we are ok and "is
there anything she can do for us". She's a gem! But, on the other
hand, she is a typical 4 yr old.

We are very happy about this pregnancy because I've had a terrible time
with conception the last few pregnancies and this one happened all of
the sudden at a time when I didn't even think "it was time". We really
feel like it is a blessing in disguise.

Again, congrats to all the new moms-to-be and keep in touch!

| | I'm expecting my first child Dec 15. (It probably will come on
Christmas !!) My mother -in-law sent me a 'baby's first Christmas"
ornament, so I'm sure she jinxed it!

I have a 7 year old stepdaughter who is excited about this baby,
she and my husband think it's a girl, I think it's a boy, I had
a sonogram, and [s]he was turned so we couldn't tell. Oh well.

My stepdaughter can't understand why I can't do all the things I used
to do before getting preggo. (Jump on trampoline, etc). We went to
Six Flags last week, (amusement park) and she kept asking how come I
couldn't ride the roller coasters. I finally told her that the baby
didn't meet the height requirement. She didn't ask any more.

I also have 4 nephews, and 3 neices, with one neice being 3 months old.
Should be an interesting Christmas holiday! (And a dog and cat, that
    are like children to me).

I also am planning to stay out four months, but my hubby is in the
construction industry, so we'll just have to wait and see what the
    economy does.

Good luck to all new mommies. I never knew what being pregnant would
be like. Nobody tells you all the nitty-gritty stuff, just the old
'yeah, I was sick ha ha', 'yeah, my feet swelled ha ha'.....thanks
    old pals!!!!

| 43.13 | My Baby Boy | DLO10::SAYERS |  | Tue Aug 20 1991 10:25 | 30 |
| | I everyone. I am usually a closet noter but when you started this file
on one of my favorite subjects, I just couldn't resist!

I have a "baby boy" who is 15. That is YEARS. He came into this world
weighting 8 pounds and was 20 1/2" long. (Pretty good for a mom that
is 5 feet and weighs 105 lbs!) Needless to say he has grown quite a
bit. Now he is 5' 10" and weighs 200 lbs. His latest request was a
weight set (so he could "pump up"). I rushed out and got him a workout
bench and weight set. He had been working out at this Dad's house and
his is a solid as a rock!

I still call him my baby boy (which he hates) but what can you say when
    he is the only one!

Congrats to all of the moms-to-be and the dads-to-be! It is a GREAT
time. I would LOVE to have another baby but my son is not thrilled
with the idea. He opened a box of keepsakes the other day and got out
a cabbage-patch doll that my mom gave him when he was about 3 (my mom
wanted me to have a girl!). Anyway, he threw this doll to me and said,
"Hang on to this a little while. You will change your mind." He
laughed but I really believe he would be REAL jealous if I had another
    baby.

On a last note, if any of you with little ones or expecting little ones
can afford a camcorder, it is definately worth the money. I wish I had
been able to have one when David was little.

    Keep those baby notes coming!!!

| | I have 5 babies. Yep, count em, 5. Of course they're the 4-footed
kind (wouldn't have it any other way). They're my wonderful kitties!

Bailey's Irish Cream (Bailey) - The first kitty that ever owned me,
female, 5 years old, blue-cream, (dilute
    				    tortoiseshell)

Amelia Earhart (Amelia) - My most lovable kitty, female, 5 years old
Mostly white with brown tabby markings

Carrie Nation (Carrie - My holy terror, female, 3 years old
(Gray [known as blue in cat colors]
    			            with white bib and feet)

    and 2 foster kitties:

These two (and their mom and sister) were living under my patio and
were quite wild. Are now quite tame. Their natural mother's name
is Paddy O'Kitty. These 2 cuties are available for adoption.

Domino O'Kitty - Male, 4 months, jet black with gold
eyes with approx. 10 white hairs in the
    		                    bikini area

Onxy O'Kitty - Male, 4 months, jet black with gold
eyes with approx. 4 white hairs in the
                                    bikini area

I love my kitties like they were my children. In fact my mother is
beginning to get used to the idea that she may be stuck with having
only Grand cats with me instead of Grand children.

| | Jan --> I LOVE IT! Grandcats instead of Grandchildren!
Well, as long as we are on the topic of 4 footed babies. Mine are:
Heidi --> 5 month old mini-dachshund (black and tan) puppy
Tasha --> 3 month old golden tiger kitten
They are both so precious, adorable, and loveable. However, living with them
is like living in the middle of Wild Kingdom.
My father wants grandchildren real bad, and everytime he drops a NOT-SO-SUBTLE
hint, I hand him one of my precious babies and tell him to go play with his
granddaughter. :-)

I'm one of the new moms!!! Anna Sophia was born on May 3rd. I'm working
parttime from office/home but will be back fulltime in September (boo
hoo!!). Anna and I watch at least some or some part of the soaps on the
days that I'm home. One day on GH there was a scene at the club and she
was fascinated by it with the music and movement. At soon as it went to
the next scene she focused her attention on something else. Even being
at home I've had to use this file to keep up with what's going on
sometimes. Now I have to get back into the swing of remembering to set
the tape when I go into work.

| 43.18 | Kids, aren't they wonderful?!?!?! | MPGS::RICCIO |  | Thu Aug 22 1991 19:09 | 44 |
| | Well, it's great to see that I am not the only animal lover out there!
I have 2 *Kids* four legged that is.

Jasper - 4 1/2 year old gray 20lb lazy cat who loves junk food
Smokey - 2 year old gray hyper cat who really LOVES Lettuce

These 2 are real life Uncle and Nephew but they seem to think
they are Father and Son. They look almost exactly alike except for
	the difference in weight.
Smokey Monster gets into all the trouble (EVERYTHING he does is for
attention). He knows he shouldn't be on the table but does it so I
will yell at him. After I yell at him he backtalks - does this sound
	like anyones kids?
Oh yeah, when the litter box is what Smoke considers "full" he sits
in the middle of the kitchen floor and yells MMMMMAAAAAAAA!!!
(Yes, he really does - and when he does anyone who is over knows exactly
what this is for!) This cat also - shuts off the Dining Room
light, the light has a dimmer switch.
Smokey and Jasper used to have this game, Smoke would open the cabinets
and then Jas being curious would go inside to investigate. Smoke now
would slam the door shut and Jas would be locked up inside. Of course
when you walk thru the kitchen, Smoke is just sitting there like I'm
not doing anything wrong and you wouldn't realize where Uncle Jas was
until he started scratching. Well, one day I was home watching my
soaps and I heard the cabinet open and figured...well here we go with
the hide Uncle Jas game. Then I hear another one open, and another one
then I started hearing what sounded like boxes of Mac & Cheese falling.
After I heard the coffee can fall onto the counter then down to the
floor and roll across the kitchen - I decided to investigate.
Well, (and this is where he really earns his name!) Smokey Monster
had ALL the cabinets open and was flinging food all over the place.
Why? Because he was hungry! Well, needless to say, he has not gone
	hungry since!

Uncle Jas (as we refer to him) sits there with the "don't look at me,
I'm innocent" face on all the time! You see, Smoke is always causing
some sort of trouble and Uncle Jas is usually right there watching.
As you can see, these are my kids and give me all the joy/pain/laughter/
pride that being a parent (2 legged or 4 legged kind) can give!

| 43.22 | An aunt twice in one year! | WR2FOR::VOGELSANG_JU |  | Sat Aug 31 1991 07:45 | 27 |
| |

I'd love to have a baby, but it's just not my time yet I guess!
But in the meantime... I've been made an aunt twice this year!

The first baby is Marika Anneliese - my sister's baby. She will
be 1 year old October 4th. I can't believe it. My sister (my only
sister) and I became much closer after this experience. I was a part
of just about everything. She is only 18 and my mother was away so
she depended on me somewhat. I went to Lamaze(sp) with her (and her
fiance too) and when it was time to deliver I was right there with
the camcorder!! Now, I spend time with her everyday and I really
enjoy watching her grow and learn.

The second baby is Gerrit Benjamin - my brother's baby. He is
6 months old. Unfortunately, I don't see him as much as I would like
to. Each time I do see him, though, he keeps getting bigger and
bigger! He is such a strong little guy. I'm sure he'll start walking
early just like my brother did at 9 months.

My only problem is that I spoil Marika more than Gerrit. 1) because
she's closer to me, and 2) because girls are easier to spoil! I'm
always in a dilemma trying to make sure I'm equal with my gifts and
    things.

    Julie.

| | I haven't been in here in ages, been real busy, but was glad to see this topic
added.
I'm due with my second on November 4th. It seems to me this pregnancy has
gone faster, maybe because I know what's going on now, but now it seems as
if it has started to draaaaaaaaagggggggg. I'm hoping for a girl this time
since my first was a beautiful and [[[[very energetic]]]] boy. My son, Kahlil
(we call him KV for short) is now 20 months old and is all boy. I wish I
had a fourth of his energy. He is now into jumping off of whatever he can
climb on top of and telling everyone NO! or STOP IT! Gee I wonder where he
heard those words?!! He's a real joy tho and never ceases to amaze me with
something new everyday.
This pregnancy has been so different from my first that I'm praying and hopeful
that I'm having a girl. I need someone to go shopping with!!! Besides I need
another female vote in the house or I'll be forced to watch ball games the
rest of my life!

| 43.25 | Kahlil Gilbran | SNBURN::KING | " . . . swimming pools, movie stars" | Thu Sep 05 1991 11:59 | 13 |
|  | Bonnie --> No . . . he's named after his daddy.  I asked my mother-in-law where
she got the name and she said his Godfather named him. I've never met the
"Godfather" so I don't know. All I do know is he was some "Hollywood type" and
worked at one of the studios . . . I imagine that is where he got the name tho.
Most people do have one of two reactions when I tell them his name. It's
usually, "What?!?!" or "Oh after Gilbran the philosopher". I like the name,
it's different. The name is Arabic meaning true friend. I got a lot of funny
looks during the Gulf War as you can imagine.
Enough . . . I'm probably booooorrrrrrinnnnnggg you.

don't get to watch the shows anymore so I'm only a read only person.
I'm going out on maternity leave tomorrow so I just thought I'd drop a
line on it. I have a 5 year old boy at home he starts school Monday and
I'm due with this one 2 weeks from now. No rest for the wicked. Just
want to thank all of you for the great updates and while I'm out I'll
get to watch channel 5 soaps too. Can't wait to check out all your
comments when I get back. Especially the ones from AMC about when

Well, Craig Peter Dery is here!! Had him a week early - 9/22.
Water broke at 5am Sunday, had a few hard contractions during
the next couple of hours, noticed some bleeding so my midwife
sent me to the hospital at 8am, had an internal and was already
at 10cm and was ready to push!!! Pushed for an hour and he was
born at 9:42am! 7 lbs 1 oz, 21-1/2 inches long.

He's wonderful!! Oh boy, I'm sounding like someone's mother! :^)

Well, I was going to announce Madeline (I don't know if there's
a middle name) Kallock here, but someone beat me to it!
I met the FP last night for the first time. While on a tour
of the Emerson Hospital Birthing Center, the nurse showed us
the post-partum unit, and the nurses station, where there was
a board of all the patients and their room number. Well, I
spied "Kallock" on the board and new instantly that it was the
	FP.
I asked the nurse if the FP was taking visitors, and the nurse,
who didn't look or dress at all like the Fredericks-of-Hollywood
nurse Gloria, took my name and said she'd check. The FP said
she'd see me, even though she doesn't know a "Patty Sullivan".
I introduced myself and asked her if she was the Fashion Police!
We had a fun little chat, and I told her that I would come out
of the closet and announce Maddie for her.
The Fashion Police says Maddie has "long shapely legs". Both
mother and daughter are fine. FP expects to be back at work
    	"around" Christmas time.

| 43.62 | I met the FP's baby!! | NETCUR::SILKONIS | Linda | Thu Nov 21 1991 08:53 | 39 |
| |
Yesterday I had to go to our local library here at LKG and what do you
know, that's where the FP works!! I saw her empty office with her
name (Ann Kallock) and a picture of her with the new baby.........
And lo and behold a few minutes later she walks in with the baby!! I
couldn't help but approach her and ask, "are you the FP?" She and all
her coworkers started laughing! She didn't recognize my name of
course because I'm a silent reader of AMC (I participate in loving).
She was very nice and loved everyone cooing over her little girl. I
was confused at first because I remembered reading in here that she had
a girl, but this little baby was dressed in a BLUE and white sweater
outfit. I waited 'til I heard someone say "she" to be sure my memory
wasn't off at reading she had a girl.
Then I told her that I was going to write in the file and tell
everyone that she dressed her poor little girl in blue! (I try to
have my daughter with at least a little pink or a girlish looking
outfit ....... of course there are still people that ask if she's a
girl or boy when she's dressed in pink head to toe and she's very
girlish looking!)
The FP proceeded to tell me that there is absolutely nothing wrong
with dressing a girl in blue as long as the outfit matched. And of
course the outfit Madeline had on was beautiful and matched perfectly.
Madeline is really a cute baby! I'm glad I had the opportunity to
meet her and her mom. It's funny how you picture people just from
reading what they write..........Ann didn't look anything like I thought!
Well, I just thought I would share that with all of you!
Linda
P.S. Ann also told me the story of how she was in the hospital after
just giving birth and she hears a knock on the door and someone
saying, "excuse me, but are you the FP?" I told her I already knew
the story because Patty had written a note to tell us in the baby file!

| | Hello, I guess you could say I'm coming out of my shell! That's what
my 4 year old son, Derek would say. (He loves the Turtles!)

I have been reading Loving, AMC, OLTL and GH for too long now. I have
always wanted to write but never really knew how, its funny I would
find this topic at just the same time I was asked to do some training
on Notes! So it would give me a chance to practice in notes and of
course BRAG about my 2 cherubs.. Derek is 4 and a handful for sure,
the newest addition is Jared Michael who will be 7 months 1/24! I
love being a mom! Derek is all BOY! I would die for just a pinch
of the energy he has! Of course during my pregnancy with Jared there
was no way I would have another baby that would be as "hyper" as Derek
and now I can see how clouded my vision was!! He is already and has
been for the last month or so all over the place, Oh Gee, I wonder
why??? Well probably because Jared won't keep his eyes off of his big
brother!! He follows him everywhere!! and he wants so bad to be able
to play with him! I keep telling him this summer!!

Well I could go on for hours about my boys, as I'm sure most of you
parents, aunts, unlces and grandparents could but I am really dying to
see if I succeded in getting a note in here.. So far it seems easy
    enough!

Before I go I'd like to Thank --dc for the help with notes.. I decided
send mail to him for some help on NOTES and he replied and now I just
have to wait for those Califon I A people to come in before I place a

| 43.68 | A Nov 21st Delivery | AUNTB::FRISELLA |  | Tue Mar 17 1992 13:51 | 26 |
| |
Well, I feel really strange writing in here now. My delivery has long
gone by without a single word being put in the file. I was so busy
with everything once he was born that I completely forgot about the
baby notes file. I was always watching AMC wondering how all of you
were reacting during different events on the show.

At any rate, on Nov 21st at 9:15 am they took Phillip Paul who was
named after his grandfathers. He weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and was 21 3/4
inches long. They had to do a c-section. I had one with Brittani too.
Brit goes crazy over Phillip. In fact, she is contantly hanging over
him. He is almost 4 months old now and is the happiest baby I've ever
seen. He's constantly laughing and talking and trying to get people's
    attention.

I'm hoping that this is the end of baby business. I have two great
kids and I'd like to stop here while we can still afford them!!
Unfortunatley, my husband says, "how about just one more?" I told him
only if he did the delivering next time.....my body is worn out!!

At any rate, congrats to all the new moms!! It is so much fun to have
these children -- its so rewarding! Especially when they are old
enough to be your friend. Best of luck to you...

    Enjoy!
    Lisa in N.C.

| | Hi. I'm back. I had Patrick on Jan. 14th the tues before my maternity
leave was supposed to start. I can't complain too much since I didn't
have to wait around. He was 8 #s. He was born with dark brown hair.
    He's doing great.

I haven't been able to watch the soaps to much lately. I hope that's
going to change. I can't wait to get caught up with the notes though.

    I'm glad to be back!

I'll let you all know what it is as soon as I hear......naturally, I
don't seem to be getting much work done around here this morning...I
    wonder why?

| | Just got into MSO2. Joshua Robert Cudak was born at 9:03 last night.
He weighed in at 6 lbs. 15 ozs. and is 20 in. long. Parents,
Grandparents, and Baby are all doing great!

Barbara has an easy labor, water broke at 6:30 P.M., only 2-1/2 hours
    before birth.

Josh was holding onto my finger tightly just 10 minutes after he was
born. Naturally, he is beautiful..... :-)

My daughter was three weeks early and my shower for her was 1 week

got me little girl things! and Tina got to be at her own party.
