    I bought the new Dan Fogelberg CD yesterday.  It is called "Exiles".
    I was so surprised that I have to write a review...
    
    Two days ago I heard a commercial on the local radio station
    about the album.  They played a couble bars from a really
    rock-n-roll song called "She Don't Look Back".  The announcer
    said something like "here is a traditional DF ballad that is
    on the album between the rock-n-roll".  I thought to myself,
    gee that is strange since the song played was as about as
    hard as I've every heard Fogelberg.  Well, the announcer was
    right, this album is definitely a change in direction for Fogelberg.
    (As was his last, "High Mountain Snows" which was bluegrass.)
    There is only two songs on the whole album that classify as tradition
    DF ballads and the rest are rock that remind me more of Night Ranger.
    There was one song that started out slow but ended with a one
    minute guitar solo (kinda like "Power of Gold" from the "Twin Sons"
    album).
    
    So if you are expecting an album of tradition Dan Fogelberg ballads,
    you might be surprised.

    P.S.  I like the album, but it take some getting used to it coming
    from Dan.

	I saw Dan at Greatwoods this past summer. It was part of his "Exiles" tour as I recall. Anyhow it was about the best concert I've been to in a long time. He was great! He did some things off of his new album, but it seemed that most of the material was off of the "Innocent Age". I haven't purchased the new CD as of yet, but maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks for the input.

	Is "The Innocent Age" out on CD? I don't think I've noticed it and my album(s) have seen better days. I also picked up "Exiles" on CD a little while back. It was certainly different but I did enjoy it, not as much as "The Netherlands" CD which I think is fantastic. Jenna

	re.-1 Yes, The Innocent Age is in most major shops. Just saw a copy yesterday in Tower Records in Palo Alto, Ca. The Cruiser p.s. I agree - Netherlands is the best !!

	Speaking of Fogelberg's CDs, has anybody seen Homefree on CD? I have all of DF CDs (except Greatest Hits, I have it on vinyl) and would love to round out the set. -John

	I got my latest Noteworthy catalog this past weekend, and as I was going over the list of new releases. I noticed that Home Free was added to the growing list of CD's. It was available as of 1/31/89. Looks like my Fogelberg collection is finally going to be complete. Steve
