| | "San Francisco Days"; real people playing real instruments, maybe even
    together at the same session. Buy it, you'll love it.

    They do still make records like they used to, they just don't do it
    often enough.

    Is SF Days in the same mould as Wicked Game? Brilliant as I thought
    Wicked Game was I felt the overall treatment of the songs got a bit
    samey. I'd not really relish another album in the same formula style.

    ps Enya's Watermark and Carribean Blue being a case in point.

| | Wasn't Wicked Game a compilation lp? The LP that was being touted when
    he had his first big hit was compiled from at least two earlier lps I
    thought? Maybe it wasn't Wicked Game. The new album got good reviews
    though.

    Yeah, says in the small print that it is, and the tracks are dated from
    '85 - '89...

    Any other albums anyone remembers?

| 1183.6 | Nothing like it, really.... | BAHTAT::SALLITT | Dave @LZO 845-2374 | Thu Sep 30 1993 12:37 | 14 |
|  |     re .3.....

    SF Days is similar to Wicked Game only in musicianship, and maybe
    superior in terms of the standard of production and sound. The songs
    are all different but the album forms a "whole" as a good album should.

    Personally, I'd put it alongside Carole King's "Tapestry", Neil Young's
    "Harvest", Aretha Franklin's "I Never Loved A Man As Much...." or any
    Paul Simon or James Taylor album (excluding compilations).

    It restores your faith in the industry. We should have music like this
    available on the NHS. Great stuff.

| 1183.7 | another strong release | GRANPA::FDEADY | I like this resonance, it elevates me. Bjork | Mon Jul 31 1995 15:22 | 8 |
| | Bought "Forever Blue" last week. It's quite enjoyable. Good, strong
    vocals and great guitar work. This release was reportedly motivated by
    Chris's girlfriend/manager leaving him. There are some emotional tracks
    included, it re-afirms his "Baron of Brood" label. If you like Chris
    Isaak's style you'll enjoy this album.

    cheers,
