| | How about that recent Hugh Cornwell video (typically I forget the
song) where a plasticine model apparently lifesize is substituited
for our Hugh, which changes shape and all other things, the classic
part being where he kisses a girl and their heads mesh together
and then separate. Very impressive use of plasticine.

How about 'Touch of Grey' by The 'Dead...
Skeletons replacing the band 1 by 1 and then gradually turning back
into the original band at the end. the skeletons are full puppets
and a nice touch at the end is the shot of a skeleton working the
strings for the band members... brilliant! almost certainly the best
	of '87.

Were there two videos for that? When it was released, I saw a bizarre
video on "The Tube" that featured dwarves (if I remember correctly)
attacking an old piano frame using metal grinders, all set in a gloomy
wrecked warehouse. But whenever I've seen a video of it since, it's
been just a collection of objects - a hand, a ruler, and so on - not
    nearly as interesting.

Speaking of more recent videos, "Snub" had a feature on New Order that
included a clip from a video for one of the tracks off "Technique". This
video consisted of longish mono takes straight at a model's face, long
enough that she began to look uncomfortable, interspersed with very
short colour clips of cream being thrown over a bunch of tulips. Sounds
    daft, looked great.
