I was inspired to write this note by one of the replies to
    'UK Musicians'

One of the best music mags is 'Making Music'. Its great!!!
Its a monthly and is completely FREE from music shops. It deals
with the 'minority' bands (ie you won't see a Tiffiny interview
    in there!!!!).

I missed last months (June) and so I understand they had an
    artical/interview on Yngwie J. Malmsteen.

Has anybody got a copy of June's edition that I could borrow ??

Also, anybody get 'Guitarist' ?? They had an articale on a 1952
Fender Telecaster this month that looked amazing !!!

| Tony,
I have the Making Music issue in question (but not the Guitarist),
so if no-one in your area has a copy I could always mail you mine -
    let me know.
One point on the UK music media:
Has anyone else noticed how much and how often the monthlies have
interviews with the same person as each other (Thomas Dolby last
month, Yngwie J. Malmsteen this month) ? I realise that some are
published by the same people, but even so it's a bit of a cheap
way to fill the pages (then again I suppose that's why they do it !)
Just for info, the magazines I regularly read are International
Musician, Music Technology, Making Music and Sound on Sound.
    May your plectra never wither,
    Derek (SWAS, Warrington)

I know what you mean about the interviews. If I remember rightly
there was an interview with Eddy Grant in Making Music and also
in the same month in Guitarist.
