| | According to Britain's greatest newspaper(comic) THE SUN Keith and
Mick have made it up and the Stones are going to embark on their
biggest ever tour covering both South and North America before Europe.

Isn't there a video compilation of Stones' hits (forget the name)?
I'm sure it had videos from right through their careers.

    Dave.

re .2 There are a few Stones video's about ( the one you are thinking
about is Video Rewind) but the one I am after appears to
    	    have been deleted

If only it were true then some of today's so called megastars
would see how to put on a real rock'n'roll show .

cheers for the replies it's good to know there are still
    	    some Stones fans about

| | Andy,

I know someone who just bought "Let's Spend the Night Together"
here in Boston just a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if it is
out-of-print over there, but it is available in the States.

He bought it at Tower Records, so you may want to check with Tower
in London (could be a long-shot, but it doesn't hurt).

Tour was to be next year. After all they were right about Led Zep.
    the other week.

    Yours hopefully

I know he's GOD 'cos he told me so ;-). He is there to counter balance

| | Some months back, one of the Guitar magazines (GUITAR PLAYER?)
had an article about/interview with Clapton which briefly touched
on the whole "Clapton is God" bit. A few months later, some wit
wrote in a letter that said something like, "I was the one who
wrote that particular piece of graphiti. I made a mistake, though.
What I meant to write was 'Clapton is GOOD'..."

| | O.K...anybody else hear about this...

I read in one of yesterday's papers that some guy(in the States?)
has written a book about Brian Jones(one time member of the Stones)
and in it he claims that Brian was actualy *murdered*!!! He claims
that after a wild drugs'n'booze party at Brian's house some of the
*guests* threw him into the swimming-pool. He claims that these
people were members/supporters of rival groups and jealous of Brian's
success. The book is due for publication during the summer in the
    US.

Sound's to me the author is trying to get publicity and increased
sales by including this *scoop*...interesting to see if he names
    names etc,etc...

     re .14
Yup Dave it looks like another Goldman School of Biography `expos',
just like poor old Elvis (the postman saw him yesterday!) and John Ono
Himself. Lies lies and damn publicity.
I suppose it's more interesting do do a Hack job on the Stones since
they were the ones to shout: "ANY publicity is good publicity!" while
being arrested for relieving themselves against a factory wall ('65/66).
I suppose I'd rather see the author of this making money instead of
     Jim and Tammie.

The Brian Jones rumour is not new, I heard it back in the late 70's.
Whatever the truth of it, Brian was becoming remote from the rest
of the Stones both in musical direction and lifestyle.
