Hello, I'd like to know that 'Cluster name alias' failover supported on WAN (which is a different subnet of server and client) with NT cluster V1.1. Is it also possible to IP failover on WAN environments...... Please inform me details....regards, Changkyoo.

| 'Cluster name alias' failover for WAN in an IP environment is supported in V1.1. But let's qualify this. (More detailed information is throughout this conference.) IP failover defines a 'floating' IP address. The name associated with that IP address is defined in your DNS. When a service associated with the floating IP address fails, for example a web server, the IP address and its name are then assigned to the other node. Clients that use a Winsocket connection then get their information from the other node. IP failover is for applications using Winsockets, not for file services. tgc | |||||
