I can't seem to find the Digital part number for the Adaptec
AHA-2944 series (Narrow, Wide) SCSI controllers supported for
Prioris NT-Clusters.
They are listed in the NT-Clusters soup-to-nuts package, but
I can't break down the BOM.
All the other Adaptec SCSI controllers (1540x,2940x) show up in
various DEC databases as variants of the FR-PCTAZ-xx base part number.
Help!

Hi Dave,
First off, you should check the options section of the Server Support
web site. It's at http://akin40.ako.dec.com/ and is also linked from
http://pcbu.ako.dec.com/ under servers.
I used VTX PRICE to bring up all fr-pctaz-?? (and fr-pctar-??) part
numbers and this is the only one that mentions diff, i.e. differential.
FR-PCTAZ-FA ADAPTER,PCI WIDE DIFF SCSI 499.00
This particular part number does not show up on the server support
page's qual'd list.

Thanks Bill,
This is getting ridiculous. This is our hottest product on our
hottest O/S, and I can't find a DEC p/n for this controller *anywhere*.
I've searched in akin40.ako.dec.com/, pcbu.ako.dec.com/,
www.windowsnt.digital.com, this NOTESfile, the PRIORIS NOTESfile,
and found nothing but the Adaptec#, which our purchasing people and
the stockroom don't know what to do with.
The FR-PCTAZ-FA description doesn't call out the controller model - for
all I know, I'll end up ordering the same thing I have now (AHA-2940W).
Grrr....
