|  |     The excuse was rather lame.  If you saw the last half then you saw the
    big explaination.  Something about Bridger erasing all memory on the
    SQ computers because he thought the ship was doomed.  Tobias and
    friends saved the crew and placed them back on earth albeit 10 years
    into the future.  Tobias put them back on earth in the last place
    they were thinking of as "peaceful".  Which sure makes you wonder
    what Henderson and Ford were thinking about since they were placed
    in a hotel room together.
    
    I have the feeling the writers want to put the monster of the week
    season behind them and get cooking with the new premis.
    
    Overall, except for a bit of lame writing here and there, I think the
    first show was better than before.  I liked the new captain although
    I'll miss Bridger.  I think it had more of an action feel to it and 
    pretty good special effects.  I like the idea of having it 10 yrs ahead
    because they should be able to come up with good plots of things which
    have changed/taken place while the crew was gone.
