| | AAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Can somebody please help.... I taped the seasons opener the other night and
when I watched it last night I discovered that the clock on the VCR must be
set a little fast because the tape turned off at the following point:
	Helen:	"Ask me again Joe"
Joe:	"Helen will you marry me?"
	{Tape goes off}
	WHAT DID SHE SAY???????

| | I missed the entire episode. Can someone fill me in as to how Helen
and Joe got to the "Will you marry me?" question? Did I miss something
at the end of last season?

    Thanks in advance.

| | Lets see...

    last season:
Davis proposes to Helen, she accepts, davis rushes back to NYC, helen
goes to Joe's to borrow a travel iron, Joe and helen end up in bed
    together - season ends.

    this year.
joe tells brian he believes him and helen will stay together but helen
rushes off to be with davis. J confronts her at the airport but
doesn't offer anything more then just dating - H wants to be married so
she leaves (meanwhile we find out that Alex is gone for good) - Joe and
Brian both decide they have let the women they love leave so they fight
over who gets to use the plane to go find their lost loves. J shows up
in NYC and we find out H didn't rush to D's side but had to take a long
walk to think about things. J tells H he wants to marry her - she
punches him in the stomach (bahaha I loved it what a typical Helen/Joe
interplay here) she goes off that for 30 years no one proposes to her
and now she gets 2 proposals in one day. J gets all mushy about how
they were meant to be together and thats when she says - ask me again.
Helen says yes and the show ends with them hugging and kissing in the
    elevator.

| | If the plot lines continue being lousy (and they stay on Tuesday
night), I predict they will be canceled by the end of the year. The
freshness and punch seems to be gone this season. Reruns on USA are a
    lot better.

| | Inspired lunacy last night with Soupy Sales:

Soupy played a con man who was trying to marry Roy's mother to steal
her money. His calling card read "The King of Simon Says." At the
end of the show he had a heart attack and when he asked someone to
call an ambulance nobody moved because:

    HE DIDN'T SAY "SIMON SAYS!"

| | I heard on CNN HN that this is "Wings" last season. While
I do follow this show, I am surprised they didn't end it one
	or two years ago.
They also mentioned moving Wings to 9pm Wed (from 8pm Wed),
and moving News Radio to 8pm Wed (from 9pm Wed), sometime
	in March.

Yes Lowell was super. Then they got a new guy and we saw him a few
times then we never saw him again...

Again, I didn't watch it but I'm curious, how did it all end?

Joe decides to sell Sandpiper to Roy.

At the last minute, Brian decides to stay to run Sandpiper for one
year.Bad news for Casey because she had told off everyone on Nantucket.

| | RE last show - Replies .10 and .11 didn't mention that the reason that
Joe and Helen were able to afford to go to Vienna and that Brian was going
to take off for the islands (until he decided at the last minute to stay
and run Sandpiper) was because Joe and Brian found a suitcase full of money
(I think $250,000) left by their father. They had to follow a series of clues
to find it after Joe and Brian discovered a note in an empty suitcase that was
in Joe and Helen's attic.
