My brother and his family are leaving the UK to live in Tanzania,
working as missionaries with the Crosslinks organisation from December.
They will be based mainly in Tabora, Kigoma and Dodoma.
Does anyone have any contacts out there? Hints and tips? They are
planning to be in Tanzania for 7 years. I know very little about what
life will be like for them and would like to give them any practical
tips and help I can.
Thanks and regards
Caroline

I have a dear friend who was born and raised and is now living in
Kilifi, Kenya, Tanzania's neighbor to the North.
Bob Mbui is a bright, young Methodist Christian who visited the U.S.
in 1988. He was quite impressed that I was campaigning for Jesse
Jackson for president at the time.
Kilifi is near Mombasa on the coast of the Indian Ocean.
Our seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere from the
northern, of course. It's warmer in December and cooler in July.
But remember, it's also close to the equator, so it's likely to
be warmer year round.
As you may realize, there is a lot of troubling activity in the region.
Somolia is to the North of Kenya, and Rwanda is to the East.
Shalom,
Richard
