| | Wow! Send me back 22 years, why don't you?
I actually have that book. There's also another "article" about
children of God on a "march" acting like children, wandering down
to the water and getting stuck and having to be rescued. It's not
a forced march... and so on. It's been a long time.
What struck me about the Barington story were the words, "It is a
gift, a free gift, with no strings attached."
I'll have to try to resurrect it when I get home.
    Thanks for the memories :-)

I remember at youth camp in high school the pastor who was the
guest speaker did a dramatic storytelling of Barrington bunny.
I was crying myself into a puddle. I wasn't alone either. There
was not a dry eye in the house. I thought it was a good analogy
of the sacrifice that Christ made for us. That story really had
a impact on me...I remember that camp experience and specifically
that story as one of the turning points in my life. Thanks for
the title of the book Richard.

.1 I remember that line with special warmth.

Could that have been in the NorthWest corner of Connecticut?

Nope...it was Lichen Ranch in NW Colorado. Closest I ever got to
going to camp in Connecticut was Spofford, New Hampshire.
