I would say the basenote statement is totally correct. The only thing
is that we must remember that "Everyone that cries Lord, Lord" isn't
necessarily Christian. So if people want to refute the statement, by
pointing to certain "ungod-like" socalled Christians, then it should be
understood that the individual in question is to be examined and not
the statement about Christians, because one should be able to see God
through the Christian, and a Christian should aspire each day to
reflect and express God who is within him.

However, as I think again, "other folk" seeing God is somewhat
questionable, because the unbeliever doesn't see God because he doesn't
believe in God. Technically, they be very well be seeing God, but they
do not acknowledge what they are seeing as being God.

| | Christians may emulate God by living a Christian life and giving the
glory for it tto God. We should ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit
so that the fruits of the Holy Spirit may be evident in our lives.

We need to be a servant to others as Jesus taught us.

We need to decrease and Christ, through His Spirit, allowed to increase
in us. This isn't so much an active 'doing' on our part, but more an
emptying out in order to allow the Spirit to act through us. For
example, according to MY nature, I will get impatient with a slow
co-worker and be disagreeable; in this situation, I need to set my
own urges aside to allow the patience of the Holy Spirit to come
through for the benefit of both of us.

Whoever saw Christ knew the Father because Jesus constantly aligned
his will with that of the Father's and he constantly praised the Father
for every good thing that he did.

    Peace,

    Mary
