Many Christians suffer "burn-out" similar to work burn out. How
do you handle depression from over work? Church psycholigists are
telling us that in most churches 10% of the members do 90% of the work.

I used to suffer from 'burn-out'. But then I started doing
only what the Lord had for me to do. Then 'His grace was sufficient'.
Which reminds me; I need to get rid of another job.

About 6 years ago, I was working in my Church doing
everything I could. Every time the doors opened, I was there draging
my family along. It got to the point that, almost every waking moment
was given to Christian work. All of a sudden, I lost it...completely
and walked away from the very teachings I held so dear. I would
preach, teach sunday school, teach church training, I was a deacon,
I would marry and bury, visit the sick....I got so caught up, that God
couldn't "talk" to me anymore....I didn't have the time. Then God
allowed me to be broken....you see, I had gotten to the point that I
    *KNEW* that I was good.....and God proved I wasn't.

    	I've been there.

It is a painful thing when God allows us to walk on our own.

Pride comes before destruction & a haughty spirit before a FALL.

Speaking as one that has gotten more then one bloody nose.

| Whenever I start to feel burnout, I try to remember to plug in to the Source of Spiritual Light and drink from the Fount of Living Waters. Not easy to remember when you're under a time crunch, with no help in sight, the task seeming insurmountable, and every person and situation seems to be conspiring against you. Peace, Richard | |||||
