    This may sound flip, but I have begun to take great joy in the fact
    that people seem to enjoy my hugs.  It would be nice to be remembered
    for that, for bringing some love to someone.   (*8

I would like to be remembered as passionate and compassionate,
someone who dared to dream the impossible dream,
someone who responded in Christ. :-)

I will probably be remembered as terse, critical, and unsatiable. :-(

    	Strange, we weer just talking along those lines last week - my lady
    and I. Getting a yearly physical seemed to be the topic that started it
    off and she asked "What if you die tomorrow?" My answer was that I've
    led a good life and the world will not have been much worse for my
    having been here. There will be many who remember my hugs, many more
    who will remember our conversations, and three wonderful kids who can
    be expected to lead productive and loving lives. Maybe riches and a
    Masters Degree have eluded my half-hearted search, but I've always had
    what counts. I'm not really ready to go quite yet, but if I do then I
    do. Still, there are more folks left to hug, more conversations to
    join, and maybe grandchildren to wonder at.
    	I think what I'd like most to evoke at my passing is a number of
    wistful smiles at the good memories shared. Tears are messy.

    I am always seeking to grow as a human being, and I have a great deal
    of growth left to experience.  The real tragedy, for me, if I were to
    die tomorrow, would be that so much of my potential would be cut short.
    At this point, I am not even close to being in a position where I would
    be satisfied with my life, were I to die tomorrow.  There is more
    growth required of me, I suspect, than a full lifetime can offer, but a
    full lifetime is what I will need even to come close to moving in the
    right direction.

    Perhaps that fact is, in and of itself, something that I need to
    contemplate as an incentive for me to work harder on the task at hand.

      When its all been said and done, I'd like to be remembered as 
    a man of God. Admittedly, this is a very tough title to carry, but
    there is (IMHO) nothing better that can be said about a man or women
    than, that they were 'a man (or woman) of God'. As the times get
    closer and closer to the end, being a person of God will become 
    increasingly tougher, and not a very popular thing to be known as
    in the worlds eyes (Mat 24), but still, to me this will be the very 
    best thing that could ever be said (or remembered) about me.
    
      Not to sure what *would* be said about me if it happened today.
    I would hope that it would be similar 'though, to what I hope will
    be said about me. At least anyways, by those who really know me,
    as I'm sure that there will be those that have nothing good to say
    about me or anybody for that matter.

    Of the different things people *could* remember about me, ;-) 
    I think I'd most like them to remember me as a "silly old soul", 
    (with the kind of wistful smile Dave mentioned, and a hearty
    chuckle now and then :-)).
    
    How is my answer *different* from what I believe others will really
    remember...?
    
    It's not.  I believe that's what they really *will* remember ;-) :-)

    	I pray that when I go that God will remember as a 'Good and 
    faithful servant.'  And that men will remember me as one that led
    men to Christ by word or deed, not bending to popular opinion or
    compromising the truth for the sake of comfort.
    
    	How will I be remembered,  Only the Father knows...

	I don't even know you, but I'm glad you are alive.

	If you find yourself at the judgement seat of Christ, then you will
spend eternity with God (since the judgement seat of Christ is for believers).
Your faith that you will be there may indicate the Lord's assurance. You and
he know for sure.

	Jesus Christ will be a just and righteous judge.

    I'd want to be remembered as someone who was fiercely compassionate and
    wonderfully creative.

    	If I died tomorrow, I would like everyone to be joyous and happy,
    	no crying, no grieving of any kind.  I would like to hear some
    	of my favorite music while I'm on my way from the physical plane
    	to the inner planes of existance.  Don't expect any messages from
    	me because you wouldn't believe what I would tell you.

    I would like people to remember that I was of service. I do a lot
    of volunteer work and though I don't do it for the praise or other
    reward it would be nice if it is remembered when I'm gone. Hopefully
    to encourage others to do the same.

    I would also hope people remembered that Jesus was the reason I
    believed in service so much. Hopefully they would also remember that
    it was because of Jesus that I didn't worry about death. Phil 1:21

    I agree with Dolores...that I made a difference...and not necessarily a
    HUGE difference in terms of becoming the secular Mother Teresa or
    creating world peace or stopping global warming.  I want to be
    remembered as having made a positive difference in the lives of the
    people I touched in this lifetime either by the example of how I lived
    or by what I learned and then passed on to others.
