| | Hi Jean,

Someone in my office tried calling down about 6 months ago for New
Year 1999 and they were booked then. The only option would be to
book off property or see if there is a waiting list. Who knows how
many "new" properties WDW will have by then.

| | A few months back while in the AOL Disney Chat we had a side discussion
on this and one of the Castmembers had mentioned that all the rooms
had been booked. The only possibility of getting a room will be to book
one of the yet to be built resorts.

My suggestion is top call the CRO and ask when future bookings for
    future resorts will begin.

If I was REAL HOT on going I'd focus in on Wilderness Junction as my
    primary target.

    Mike

Me and my wife had been toying with the idea of going to WDW on the
turn of the century. I guess procrastination was a bad idea... we've
heard from others that they are sold out for New Years Eve 1999. Only
hope is hitting a reservation for a new hotel they build between now
    and then.

This is not first-hand info, btw. I should probably check it out.
Anybody else make reservations for then?

    - Sean

    Booked over 2 years ago.

5 nights at Dixie Landings, including 31-Dec-1999.

Spreading the gospel has resulted in another 43 people, friends, collegues
    etc. doing the same.

Ask to be put on the cancellation list... (the world is full of strange
    people, someone may)

We booked a room for Dec 21, 1999 thru January 4, 2000 at
the Contempory - In the Tower, highest floor possible, with
a magic kingdom view (Hey, why not go for the gold, right!)
I made the reservation about a year and a half ago. It was
	between $300 and $400 a night - Can't remember off the top
	of my head...
We're wait listed for 3 nights (of course!) (dec 30/31/jan1)
When we made the reservation that told us that ALL monorail
hotels were blocks out for those 3 nights. For visiting
officials, vips, stars/etc that will be "present or performing
during that time" and that most likely quite a few of the
rooms will be released as the time gets closer.
I'd say DEFINATELY get on the waiting list!!

We got our reservations at the Beach Club last August. I just kept calling
every other week for about 6 months. When I got them I was told by the person
taking reservations that alot of the restaurants are also getting booked, so
we should think about reservations for eating. The only problem is I am not
sure what I will be in the mood for..

| | Boardwalk is now taking reservations, but they WILL NOT take
reservations for New Years 1999. the reservation agent told me that
they will hold the new resorts open for that time period for quite
awhile. makes no sense to me.

| | We have had reservations for over two years now. We have 2 rooms at the
Yacht Club and a Villa in the market place. (We actually have 10 Villas
reserved) We received a call from Disney a few weeks ago asking us to
switch from the Villas to the Boardwalk Hotel. Since we are having many
friends and relatives join us during that time, we managed to keep all
our current reservations and get 10+ MORE rooms at the Boardwalk.
We are going Dec 27, 1999 to Jan 5, 2000.
