| 185.1 | I'd pay for half a day | GEMINI::GIBSON |  | Fri Apr 20 1990 10:08 | 9 |
| | I would be willing to pay for half a day just to get the lay of
    the land. It would save having to read a book and a map at the same
    time, plus blocking other people's way while doing this. When we
    travel we usually take a guided tour the first day, why should
    Disney be any different? I inquired about guided tours of the MK,
    but was told they are not held every day. Are they worth the price
    Diseny charges?

|  |     Joel,

    I remember my very first time in WDW in 1975 and about midway through
    my stay I was curious about all that stuff. Now I'm not. I think those
    people on their first visit would find a need for that information.

    As far as price goes that's a toughie. I think an hourly rate of $10 an
    hour may be high for some and resonable for others, depending upon how
    anxious they would be to learn all this stuff.

    Again, I don't know how many people would go for it....first-timers
    would be your best bet.

| 185.3 | Good Idea! | RVAX::SKERRY |  | Fri Apr 20 1990 12:02 | 14 |
|  |     Joel,

    I think it is a terrific idea. First timers would benefit the
    most from this service, but if a tour guide also meant you could
    get in a side door ahead of the lines, people with a limited
    amount of time at WDW would also benefit.

    I would be willing to pay $10.00 an hour for this service. Have
    you also considered a slightly lower fee if someone hires the
    guide for a full day or a half day or even for several days?

    Go for it!

| 185.4 | Maybe more of an Escort than Tour Guide | USCTR2::TOMYL | Joel R. Tomyl DTN 297-3188 | Fri Apr 20 1990 16:27 | 5 |
| | Maybe instead of calling it a tour guide service, it would be an ESCORT
    service. Much of the information would be about the different concepts
    behind the area, pavillion, etc.

| | C'mon, Joel, you're not fooling anyone you know! You just want to
    position yourself in such a way that others will pay for your
    Disney addiction!
                        8-)
