Hi,
I am new to this note and I must say that this by far is the
best note by far!!!
Anyway, I have been to WDW twice in the last 4 years and both
times I have done it the inexpensive (cheap!) way. I was in
college and couldn't afford to spend lots of money on such
luxuries as hotel and food, so my friend and I had to make due
with what we could. Here is how we did it:
We managed to scrape up enough money to get plane fair to WDW
and to rent a car. For accomodations we rented a space in Fort
Wilderness ($20/night) and slept in the car. It wasn't bad
except one night it got down to 30 degrees and it was a bit
chilly! We took showers at the campground and for entertainment
at night we watched the campfire Chip & Dale show and movie.
During the day we had enough money to get into WDW but for food
we would buy some peanut butter and bread and pack lunch. Needless
to say it was torture with all that great food only fingers
away!
True I didn't sleep all that well and I lost a few pounds but
the trips were well worth it. I hope to go back in the Fall
to see the new attractions. Only this time, I might splurge
on a hotel room and real food!!!
The two trips I have taken to WDW have been the some of the
best times of my life. I have become a Disney-Fanatic!!!

The best way to go to Disney is with money!!! Why would someone
want to cut corners to save money, yet miss what Disney has to offer?
One day is definitely not enough time to spend at WDW. With three
theme parks, you need at least three days ($97 for a WDW passport).
The hotels outside of Disney are reasonably priced as is the Carribean
Beach Resort. Also, relatives and friends who live near WDW are
a good source when you need "shelter from the elements." If you
can stay at one of the WDW hotels, all transportation around WDW
is provided. There are even some inexpensive places to eat at WDW,
if you look for them. The cheapest way is not always the best way
to go!!!
Not a millionaire by any standards,
Michael

My wife and I went to WDW in October 1987 after having won $200 and
round-trip airfare to anywhere in the 48. We had free accomodations
for 8 days in Clearmont from one of those places that tries to get you
to buy a week at a time-share. Okay - so you can't win prizes like
this everyday - but if you do why not spend it at WDW!
