I have been calling around to several of the different discount cruise
numbers listed in this file. One of the better deals I've heard has
been from AAAABCO...it is a 7 day cruise on the Royal Majesty to
Bermuda leaving from Boston in August. This is going to
be the maiden voyage of this ship (the reason for the good deal I guess).
Now my questions are... According to Rich at AAAABCO, the Royal
Majesty is actually part of Dolphin cruise line....but it is being run
as a seperate line. Has anyone heard anything about the Royal
Majesty? He told me all this great "stuff" about the ship, but he
can't send me a brochure because they only have a few in the whole
office... I guess I"m kind of skeptical about booking something that I
can't even see (although he said in a few weeks they'd have a whole
bunch in the office and then he could send me one).
I've heard good and bad about maiden voyages. Rich was saying that
they're going to be "doing everything right" on this trip because
they're trying to get new people to sail their line. Does anyone have
any comments on this?
Also, I'm a little leary about sailing to Bermuda during hurrican
season... Has anyone else gone during this time of year?
Also, I've never booked a vacation over the phone like this...usually
we go through a travel agency. I'm finding that the prices through the
travel agencies are much higher than through these cruise places. Does
anyone have any experience going through AAAABCO?
Thanks for any info you can give.

Hi,
The only part of your questions that I have a responce to is traveling
during Hurrican season. My first cruise I took to Bermuda during
hurrican season. We took a seven day cruise and had one day of bad
weather where the sea was a little rough. I have taken 2 other cruise
down south during that time and had excellent weather the entire time.
The worst wheather I have on a cruise was during peck (FEB) season, so
you can never tell. Don't let the time of year stop you if this is a
good price. Could you please let me know what the price is?????
Thanks,
Sandi

Hi,
Actually, we decided against this cruise since it was only a 6 night
(only 2 days in Bermuda). We really want to do a 7 night cruise. When
I called the travel agent, all the rooms for the price he quoted were
gone (category G for $893.00 not including port charges). The next
category up with $30.00 more (I think), two categories up was $60.00
more (I think).
