         Hi,
My husband and I and another couple are going on an 11 day cruise on
the Song of Norway in April. We will be flying out of Boston and
leaving from San Juan. We are all celebrating wedding anniversaries
and want it to be a really special trip. We are all first timers and
would appreciate any information or tips. The cruise is carribean and
we plan to take all island excursions and would like to snorkel.
We want to make the most of our time on ship too and we all love to
dress formal so tips on clothes and activities on ship would be great.
After a long winter in Maine, we are really looking forward to April.
         Thanks,
         Patty McLaughlin

| There are a few notes in here already about the Song of Norway. Try doing a DIR/TITLE=NORWAY or DIR/TITLE=SONG. -- Nina | |||||

| I have not been on Song of Norway but RCCL is a very good cruise line.
Just remember when you do DIR/TITLE=NORWAY as referred to in 342.1 that
most of the information listed is for NCL's SS Norway which is a very
large ship, Song of Norway is RCCL. Similar ship in RCCL would be
Nordic Prince I believe. Nordic Prince and Song of Norway are both
stretched versions of Sun Viking. The ships are not the newest in
RCCL's fleet but RCCL keeps all of there ships in tip top shape.
I been on cruises on older ships than Song of Norway and they were
    great.

Most of the notes in general are good information for first time
cruisers. If you like to dress then do it, plenty of people dress up
really nice on formal nights, I would say 1/2 of the men would
be in Tuxes. The rest in suits.

Your choice for a first time cruise is excellent. Cannot go wrong with
RCCL on any of their ships, great cruise line. I'd love to go on a 10
day cruise some time, all of mine have been 7 day. Looking forward
to my 8th cruise when I save the bucks.

Have a good cruise, any questions just ask.
