| | On our first cruise we used a cruise agent in California. (We live in Massachu-
settes.) We had no problems at all - even though we did change the date once
about 2 months before the cruise. However, on our second cruise, we used a
cruise agent out of Flrorida and it was a nightmare. I booked the cruise 8
months ahead of the sailing date and received the tickets less than 10 hours
before we had to take our flight to Miami. I had called them at least 7 times
and each time they said that the packet was going to be delivered by Federal
Express. Meantime, F.E. never had the tickets to deliver! As a result, we
flew to Miami from Boston with stops in Syracuse, NY, Tampa, Florida, and
Orlando before arriving in Miami. It took us almost 7.5 hours to get to Miami.
I wrote a letter to them after we returned and they never acknowledged it.
And...our free cruise bag to take along on the cruise arrived a week after we
returned.
I won't use them again!! (If anyone wants the name send me mail.)

| | I live in Mass and we have booked all three cruises with an out of
state agent. We have had great success and would recommend her highly.

From what I understand, when you work with agencies near the cruiseline
headquarters, they can get better deals because they may have a personal
relationship with the reps. We have always been pleased with our
    prices.
