I'd like some information on Windjammer cruises out of Maine or
Connecticut. I didn't find much of anything in here. I have the
Camden, Maine, Chamber of Commerce phone number, but that won't give
me all the information I want.

Are they fun? I know you can go for up to seven days. Is that
too long for a first timer? How much work are they (just want to
be prepared ;-))? Are they all "pitch-in" cruises? What extra
expenses might I encounter? Can *anyone* offer recommendations?

I plan to go on vacation at the end of August/beginning of September.
I am not going with a group, so I also need to know if this is
primarily a "couples" type of deal or if it's a good place to make
    new friends.

    I'd appreciate any advice!

    Susan

| 146.1 | Maine Windjammer cruises update wanted | USEM::CHERNACK | Remember, w/o the H it's still BS | Wed May 30 1990 12:24 | 8 |
| I am considering taking a Windjammer cruise during the coming summer
and have many of the same questions. I have gotten brochures from
    the Windjammer association.

Has anyone answers or additional information?

    Thanks.

| I ended up putting the base note in the MAINE notes file, too. I got a
lot more information there. My trip report of my cruise on the Roseway
    is there, too!

In short, I loved it! It is different, and there are some things that
might not appeal to everyone. Send me mail if you want more
    information.

| Thanks.... will do.

After writing this note, I found the Maine notes file (DNEAST::MAINE)
and the note 323 discussion on Windjammers.

    :-))
