| 42.1 | 2 Checked bags plus 1 carry on | GUCCI::HERB | AL | Sun Oct 16 1988 09:25 | 5 |
| | Up to $400 is duty free. Each airline passenger is allowed 2 checked
    bags and one carry on bag. Fragile items (i.e., bottles) are usually
    best carried in separate bag aboard plane. I found though that your
    soiled clothing can be packed well around gifts in suitcase (who
    care about wrinkles then?) for the trip back.

| 42.4 | Ship It Back... | PARITY::GOSSELIN | Ken @DTN 247-2498 | Fri Oct 21 1988 15:53 | 13 |
| | I believe that most things can also be shipped back to your home,
    rather than you carrying it back - ask the merchant. I sent home
    quite a few purchases from Bermuda - aside from some Customs paperwork,
    it was no hassle, and all the items arrived home before I did (delivery
    timing can also be arranged).

     Even if you decide to carry stuff back and are over the limit of
    baggage imposed by the airline, you'll only be charged a small fee
    for the extra bag.....

| 42.5 | Bubble-Packing | RIPPLE::GOFF_SH |  | Tue May 16 1989 17:05 | 6 |
| | A friend recently returned from her cruise with a great tip for
    packing fragile items. She took sheets of plastic bubble packing
    with her (you know, the stress relief kind we all like to sit and
    pop!) She used it to wrap glassware and then surrounded in clothing
    in her suitcase. The items made it home in one piece despite rough
    handling!

| 42.6 | Dirty clothes wrapping... | CAMLOT::FAMULARO | Joe, ZKO3-2T43, DTN381-2565 | Wed May 17 1989 08:44 | 6 |
|  |     At tip...

    Simply wrap fragile items with dirty clothes. No need to carry
    any special wrapping with you.
