| | Holden Hills is one of the wettest courses around. Probably won't
open for a few weeks at least. I went by Hillcrest yesterday and
several people were out hitting balls, then my wife read in the paper
that it's on the auction block - forclosed by the bank. Green Hill
is usually one of the first to open in central Mass.

As long as there aren't temporary greens. They will charge you the
full price. Why discount? After 4 months of not playing. They will have
plenty of people willing to chaulk up the full fee.

| | Hi Guy's,,,,

We ended up going to Easton CC and had a great time!!!
You take the Rayhem exit off Rte 495 and follow Rte 138 for about
4 miles,,and take a left on Purchase St.

It was only 14 dollars,,,what a deal. They had 4 temporary greens.
I'd try it if you have time. We called Stow and they wanted 25$$
       It was worth the ride!!!

                                                         ,,,,,,,,Vic

| | Holden Hills opened last week. I played this past weekend and was
amazed. No temporary greens although the putting was a little bumpy.
The course is very dry for this time of year. They're already letting
	carts out.

Wachusetts opened Saturday. Only temp in the old #2 (the course
has been rerouted. The old 12th is the 1st and the pro shop is
    	right there).

Also, they've cut tons of trees. I personally like a course that
has its holes surrounded by trees. Now, you can see other holes.

I've heard that Stowe North cut hundreds of trees too. Has
    	anyone played there yet?

I played Stow North yesterday. Yes, they cut down tons of trees, but
in this case for the better. They were cut down to allow the sun to
get to dark areas, primarily at the green and tee areas, where the
lack of sun and the traffic made very difficult for grass to grow.
They have also extended some tees, primarily at the 7th hole, and
    added/reshaped bunkers on the 4th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 16th and 17th.
Similar, but not as externsive work has being going on in the South
    course.
North had only one temp, the 4th. As in most courses, they haven't
roled the greens yet and they are very bumpy. It is relatively dry.
