| | there's a book called (I think) "The Search for the Perfect Golf Swing"
    that's supposed to be really technical. Can't remember the author,
    but I believe it's still in print....

    There was book called "The Golf(ing?) Machine" - don't know the author
    but I believe Bobby Clampett based his game on it. Always reminds me of
    the adage "Analysis causes Paralysis" though.

| 1945.5 | Homer Kelley, I think ? | GVPROD::ALBINO::DAWKES | Compuserve 100025,2367 | Thu Sep 15 1994 02:10 | 11 |
| | The Golfing Machine was written by Homer Kelley (I think - I have a copy at home).
The book breaks down the swing using engineering principles and hence explains how to
get more power etc. Not being an engineer I found it very difficult to read, understand,
or apply to actually playing golf.
I strongly recommend that you get a look at it before parting with any $$s. If it works
for you, great ! However, it may just as easily lead you into the trap of over
analysing, as you suspected.

    I ordered the book "The Physics of Golf" (took 1 month to ship it
    overseas). It is exactly what I was looking for; gave me just the
    "physical answers" I was looking for.

    Thanks for all your replys!
