Gateway in Ft Myers is supposed to superb. I haven't had the pleasure
but I know people who have played there and enjoyed.
The Ben Hogan Tour plays here.
I think it's open to the Public???

Highly recommend these courses in the Ft. Myers and Naples area:
Lely Flamingo Island Club in Naples a Robert Trent Jones course.
Course rating 73.9 slope of 135 from the back tees.
Worthington CC Bonita Springs a Gordon Lewis course with lots of water
with a course rating of 72.7 and a slope of 126. (Say hello to the
hostess in the club house for me.)
Pelicans Nest in Bonita Srpings is a Tom Fazio 27 hole layout that is
fantastic. Bring plenty of balls.
Gateway as mentioned earlier is suberb. Another Tom Fazio course that
is a 73.7 course rating and a 130 slope. Right next to the Fort Myers
airport.
To return to reality play Palm River in North Naples. Nice course very
playable and always open to the public.
Also I like Marco Shores CC near Marco Island. Owned by Gene Sarazen
and has a memorial to famous golfers on each tee.
You can't go wrong with golf in that area so have fun and enjoy it.
